Root GingerShedBread/GSB

It actually works on mine. You're right. It is pretty cool.

By the way, do you notice any difference with those new settings?

Didn't think I would as I was already running pretty well (Smartass Gov Max 710 Min 245/ Compcache OFF /VMHeap 24), but YES, Yes I do. I mean I really do. The words you used "snappy" "zippy" could not be more true. My phone is fast, crisp, smooth, just running the best she ever has. Thanks.

Current Performance Settings: SmartassGov Max 710 Min 245/Compcache 18%/Lock Home in Memory[Checked]/VM Heap Size 16

Repeat, this is the fastest, crispest, smoothest this phone has EVER ran.

Smoooooooooooooooooooooth sailing. :)

I thought you'd like that. :) So far, those are the best settings I've tried and the difference was shocking to me as well. It's the first time I've ever had a ROM run smoothly the whole time without hesitation! :)

The only difference is that I have the messaging apps locked into memory too. Not sure whether I need that or not.

I tried my settings and your settings both with ondemand and smartass. Smartass seems to be the better of the two for this particular Rom/these particular settings. I love it, thanks my man.

Yo, Bobcat! Scotty!

Check out my new settings and see if you like the crispness of this ROM set as above! I know you guys have complained about lag. Try it and let's see what you think... :)

You're welcome. :)

Yeah. Smartass does seem to be a bit snappier.

Hmmmmmm. Reminds me of that story where a dog has a bone, looks over a bridge into the water seeing a bigger bone, even though he already has a bone he wants the bigger bone so.........(you know the end).

LOL, everything is running so perfect for me I'm reluctant to change anything!!

I'll be flashing 2.1 later tonight. Lucky me, the flashing bug was just starting to bite me today and now I get my fix. Maybe I'll try some new LP docks as well. Why does this stuff make me so happy?

You're welcome. :)

Yeah. Smartass does seem to be a bit snappier.

I was over on the XDA thread. Looking at 2.1
If you look at Sheds latest post, where he provides the Flash info, he noted that he changed the default Gov(just today for the 2.1 version) TO...... Smartass.

That's good. It seems to do a better job, in my experience.

I took the plunge and the bone tastes great! :D
Yup. First thing I'm doing is setting CPU as was. Second, going over to XDA and getting Condemned Souls battery gauge. I like that so much better. Looks great and he added 1% increments. Then, I'm just gonna have some fun. (And hope my phone doesn't blow up............................JUST kidding

I just flashed over mine so the settings are the same.

I'm not sure I've seen Tazz's battery gauge. Do you have a link?

I've been using since GSB 1.4.

Ever since then, I've updated without wiping out to 1.5, and then to 1.7, and now to 2.1.

I never did full wipes primarily because I didn't want to lose my MMS messages.

But looks like everything is working for me now. Phone's fast and works great, can't complain.
