Ok, so I guess no one ever watches the TV/Film thread, and this is a Lounge, so I'll post my question here. My friend lent me season 1 of Breaking Bad this morning, and I just don't know if I'll take it home or not. A show about a dying meth dealer? Seems lame and really depressing. Has anyone watched it?

My type of shows are LOST, Dexter, The Shield, BSG, The Office, Fringe. Would I like this? Or should I pass?

I ask because there's another guy here that really wants to watch it too, and if I don't take it he will.

If you like Dexter, Breaking Bad is a show for you. Week in and week out the main character gets into more shiz than you could ever imagine. Give it a few episodes and I assure you, you will be hooked. By the time you get to season 3 and 4 you won't be able to stop.

Hmm I have never heard of that series and that story ever...

Never heard of it and I don't watch much TV unless I am in the right mood.

It seems like a pretty cool story though about the drug dealer and maybe comes to terms about all the bad things he / she has done?

... I am not 100% sure though if you will enjoy it or not?

Seems interesting to me though :)

I do like some stuff on TV but sorry I have never watched any of those sorry Mr Norris!

I watched season 1-3 of breaking bad from the edge of my seat. It was incredible IMO. It seems like we share a lot of the same taste in TV shows, so I think you will love it too. Season 4 was pretty good, but 1-3 were awesome.

Breaking bad is an awesome show. It's very well acted and written. It can be depressing sure. Just look it up you'll read all the raves about it. I was hooked once I started. I also recommend The Killing, but just a tiny bit, Sons of Anarchy, and The Walking Dead! As for me being an inspiration lol, Thanks. Becoming a dad has been the best thing to happen to me. My daughter is the pride and joy of my life. She is going to be 2 this december, and she already walks, talks, sings, dances, says her name, puts on her own shoes, doesn't use a pacifier or a bottle, and she sleeps in her own room. I am very proud of her.

Well the top part is my hdtv, I was watching something, the bottom part is my 27" monitor, which my daughter was "trying" to play Hard Reset. She is holding a wired xbox 360 controller. My set up looks way different now. My surround sound speakers are spaced out on the ceiling and stuff, my hdtv is on another side of the living room now, I have an acer h5360 projector, and my tower, monitor, and the projector are on a tall bookshelf from bottom to top in that order. I have a projector screen on a blank wall.

Man, you've got as much stuff as we do around here. The only thing I can't stand is my wife's choice of tv in the downstairs den; it's an old (2005) projection style HP with a screen that always looks fuzzy to me, especially when any kind of lettering is on the screen, such as scores, etc. She loves that darned thing.

Flat panel HDTV stuff everywhere else. :)

For sound we go with real nice cordless headphones so our tunes and tv shows don't bother one another. lol ...

Game stuff for the babies.. wow.. I'm amazed about all that, dude. ;) My last kid was about your kid's age around 17 years ago, so gaming was all Nintendo, Sega-Genesis.

Sons of Anarchy is awesome...like The Sopranos, but with motorcycles! I heard about The Killing after it started, so I bought the season on Amazon, but haven't finished it yet...I'm on Episode 7 or 8. I like it, but I'm having a hard time finding time to finish it. Traveling later this month, so I'll probably take my Galaxy Tab and stream it til I finish. :D

This is me on my baby, i love bikes, used to have an '03 GSXR600 before this but with my back problems i needed something a bit more comfortable to ride.
