Root Going from Droid 1 to Droid X rooting

Just a quick observation. I thought my proficiency in ROMing the Original Droid 1 multiple times a day would make Droid X a piece of cake. This is an entire new animal (with new fun challenges) but set aside your preconceived notions, get the popcorn, and prepare for a wild ride. Take you time, as one false step will through your into "moto logo" hell. IT is doable, so have fun. It ain't your father's Droid. Read as much as possible here, assume nothing, and put on your seatbelts and have fun

Definitely a lot different modding/romming the dx vs the d1. Hopefully someone will figure out the BL and then it would be just like the D1 in most ways. I like the feel of the DX a lot better though. Even if I still had my D1 it certainly would not be my daily driver
