Goodbye Droid back to the iPhone

feels so good to be using the iphone again, works so much better

Do you really have nothing better to do! I myself have been an iPhone owner since the launch and all I have to say is enjoy your locked down iPod with the sh!tt!est mobile phone carrier known to man!

Also if you no longer use an Android phone why are you still here?

oh and it looks like my shiny new iphone will be here in the next couple of hours and ill be happy to load all my previous iphone apps onto it and go back to using the phone without force quits, lockups, battery pulls and playing wifi games against my girlfriend

On my Droid: Force quits - 0
Lockups - 0
Battery pulls - 0

I too came from the iphone to the Droid, but unlike you I would never go back. The iphone is safer because everyone is forced into the same narrow experience, so I can see why someone like you would like it. I love the options I get with Android. But then again, I'm smart enough to figure it out....

Battery pulls on an iphone......if you have a problem with an iphone battery let me give you the 3 choices apple care gave me.

1) put a $600 hold on you credit card to swap out phones (in other woords switch a new phone for a refurbished phone and if the refurbished phone is broke 40% likely you get to do it again)

2) go to an apple store (hopefully you have one in your area)

3) buy a tracfone with minutes while you send them your phone, allow 3-5 business days, they will repair your phone then send it back.

Could I request that all posts lamenting why a person is leaving the "xyz" device be deleted. Nothing and I mena nothing positive comes from it.

I don't care why people don't choose the droid, I just want to know how people are making it unique and learning how to sort out any bugs.

well its been a few days and i have to say getting a droid and verizon was the worst move i ever made in cell phone history for me. having the iphone back makes me wonder why i ever wanted to switch. i was tempted by better google voice integration but there was nothing else about the droid that i enjoyed more than i do on the iphone.

peace nerds. youll hate me even more when iphone 4.0 software comes out. android who?

google html5 google has already decided to adopt it as well as apple pushing it. flash is garbage and i cant imagine i want to view flash sites that already load like shit on my computer generally much less on a phone. i use flashblock on my browser and the internet is so much better without flash.

Its your money do what you want, if you going iphone cool hope it works out for you, but that argument is weak. Flash allows you to watch espn 360 (college football games), listen to live nfl games all for free. I had the iphone 3gs my dad has one and my brother as well. I was iphone fanboy so I know what it can do and i still like its features. But apple deciding to refuse flash, silverlight, and other features that can help propel it is just stupid.
Android is bout to blow by them and they are keeping the locks on in the american market. An iphone overseas is not locked as tight as it is here, it is actually open, the people in America do not get to see how powerful the device is because of the regulations locking it down.
Apple being strong is going to continue pushing android and vice versa which will continue to provide the customers with better products.

well i tried and tried, had an eris and tried a moto droid as well for almost two months and i just finished returning the droid and placed my order for an iphone 3gs. ill stick with the iphone it looks like as i've been using one for over 3 years now, the droid just didnt cut it for me and in my area verizon isnt even 3g but at&t is surprisingly enough.

so i say goodbye, maybe by the end of this year droid will have caught up to what i need it to be, but maybe not. maybe apple will surprise us all again this june and i'll be able to update my iphone to 4.0 for free. we'll see but for now im gone.

Best of luck. It's a shame you didn't consider strength before you invested the time and money into the Droid. I lived with T-mobile for a long, accepting the fact that at home I was unable to use my bb pearl.

When I was do for a change I made sure I got the best network for my locale as where I traveled to most often. Verizon became the big winner for me.

Now I can sit on my couch, listen to tv and swype away as a surf the net. Life is good for me, hope the same for you.

apple has good reason for most of this stuff believe it or not but i dont like some of the ways they've closed things off as well. i'd like to see them push things forward rather than going back. google had a real chance to do it and they failed with the nexus one.

im hoping apple will make the move. we're getting closer to a time where someone can force cell phone companies into celling you data alone, not text, and minute and data packages, but simply data alone and allow you to use your unlocked phone however you choose as long as you pay for the data you consume. i had hoped apple and google could do it together, but now we'll find out if either of them will try it seperately.

Seriously bro, look at an overseas iphone. I promise you, you will look at your phone and be p*ssed. Dude at work showed me one, you can change out the batteries, it is a computer. It will put a lot of the phones out now to shame. Jailbreaking is nothing.... an overseas iphone is a POWERFUL device. To be honest with you all the overseas smartphones make ours look like meer toys.

I enjoy listening to music. So much so that it makes my day when I can use Pandora and GPS on the road at the same time. I feel bad iphone users don't get to experience this for 4 years straight. Wait, no I don't...Apple only releases one phone a year.

Flash is only 'garbage' because Apple won't get it. If the iPhone was getting it, you'd be singing a different tune. Not every site uses flash for animation or ads. Lots of sites with videos, streaming media and search functionality rely on flash. And mobile flash will be optimized for smartphones so it will run more efficiently than on the desktops.

i have both.. iphone and android phones.... let me see. the Mail apps that i need very much is very poor... not like iphone... anyway, the android phone alow background apps, and the market many apps without restriction, not like appstore. Too much users of iphone need to make the jailbreak to have apps thats apple not alow, when in the android this doesnt.

The iphone has some thinks like android hasnt, and android has some things like iphone hasnt... if google make an effort to comes this OS better, i think will be better than iphone.

I have an iphone for 3 years... i was haved Windows Mobile, and i see on android a iphone killer, but in a near future.
sorry for my english.

It's amazing. This guy came on to say "See ya", and as soon as he got his iphone he become a troll. That strikes me as quite amusing and apropos.

My first generation iphone has the ability to record video, but Apple won't allow it. If I jailbreak my phone, it will do it. WTF apple?!? I love the fact that my Droid will never be restricted by anyone like that. If the hardware can do it, and someone can write it, I can have it!!!

It certainly was the worst move for us. Let me put this to you in plain english: no one cares. If you're happy, good. Stop coming here to tell us that you were unhappy with your Droid. Because no one cares.

As was said above: nothing good comes from these posts. You're just coming here to try to get a rise out of people. I won't bash the phone, it's a good phone and if it meets your needs, fine. Please accept that there are alternatives, and some will choose them. Just as you have chosen yours.

By coming back here, all you're doing is being a Troll. Goodbye.

funny, I went the other way, gave up my iphone to go to a BB because I have a business and could no longer stand the dropped calls. I tried the BB for a month and didn't really like it...switched to the Eris...awesome, much better than the iphone but that is because Verizon is so much better than AT&T.....I have been very much surprised how much I like the android platform compared to apple....oh well, glad we are both happy!

Mods i request a close to this trolls posting. he has become fat, ugly and delusional. seriously. we have fed this clown enough. put an end to it before it gets nasty.

and enjoy your fresh served kool-aid. pretty original phone there buddy. kinda looks like EVERYBODY else's iphone! its called a bit of individuality, and you said goodbye to it becoming another sheep. bahhhhhhhhhh
