Root Goodbye

Well guys and girls, I've been seeing more and more of these threads lately and now it's my turn. Last week I went on vacation to the beach with my wife's family and walked my happy a$$ into the water with my evo in my pocket. I then proceeded to walk around for a bit and get back into the water before finally remembering my poor evo. Needless to say it was completely ruined.:(:(:( I had to make an instant decision that day on a new phone and decided to get the SGSIII. So far I'm loving it, but there are a few things that I miss about sense...if only Samsung and HTC would make friends and produce the love child of Sense and Touchwiz...Sensewiz. I haven't rooted it yet, but who knows how long I'll last before I feel the itch again. I'll probably come back to this page just to look around. You all are great people and we had such a great forum for such a great device. I've had my evo since launch day and was here not long after, mostly reading but posting some and helping where I could. Thanks to everybody for making me feel like a part of this community and thanks to the mods, guides and members for making me want to be a part of this community. I hope to see at least some of you on the SGSIII forums.

ps. Sprint will give you $13 dollars for a completely non-functioning evo and ~$60 for a working one.

yeah, its a dirty rotten shame that im not up for an upgrade till oct 1st, but who knows... the SGSIV might be out by then with the way that samsung is releasing new phones LoL

I think I am going to go with the gnex, in fact my husband ordered one for me on ebay but in my heart I want to turn around and resell it. I'm secretly hoping the deal will fall through. I would really love to get the Evo LTE. but the multitasking and non removable battery is putting me off and I really look forward to pure android.
But how I will miss this community.
I'm on Tommytomatoes Classic and every time I look at it, I think about what I am going to miss, that clock, that ghost rosie, you guys.

Sorry to hear what you did to your phone, that had to be a bummer.

Hope you like your new phone.

And, regarding the non removable battery on the LTE, the battery life on it is awesome. I ran it on a rooted stock deodexd rom today and the 3g connection was amazingly snappy and the battery just lasted and lasted.

I was quite pleased.
