Help Google Music issues

There are multiple issues with Google Music on my GNexus and I wonder if anyone else has them:

1. Often when I tap the icon to open Google Music, it opens on of the most recent apps I opened (like Yelp, or GTasks). It will keep doing so and I have to restart my phone to actually open Google Music.

2. Often when Google Music is playing and I unlock the phone, it automatically goes to Camera.

3. Some mp3s have glitchy pops in the audio when the screen turns off. I think it is when the mp3s have been made from 48kHz files. They sound fine when the screen is on, but when it goes to sleep the audio is unlistenable. I contacted Google about it months ago. They said they knew about the issue. I can't believe it has taken this long and they still haven't fixed it.

Issues like this are very annoying (especially when I have to restart the phone just to open the correct app) and add a lot of disappointment to the experience of using Android and the Galaxy Nexus.

I don't experience any of those issues when I use Google Music. I did however, notice the third bug when I just began using the app, but now I don't notice anything. I play music through my car stereo, a crappy pair of earbuds, and a nice pair of over the ear headphones. No issues here. Try uninstalling/reinstalling the app and wiping Dalvik cache. That's all I can think of that might fix it.

I've had the wrong app open on me once too and required a reboot. It was weird.

I've read about the audio pops, I think I read that its due to the processor scaling down when the screen is off and not having enough juice to handle the higher bitrate files....or something like that. Not sure if that is fixed in the next update or not....assuming it ever gets rolled out.

I don't have any of those issues either, except for #3 and even then, that doesn't happen all the time. I just figured it had something to do with the phone writing something to the "SD Card" when the screen was turned off and never really worried about it. I say that because the hiccup in the song lasts 0.002 seconds and is barely noticable.

Have you uninstalled/reinstalled the Google Music app? Or, have you uninstalled/reinstalled the latest update?

I have had the issue with the wrong app opening a few times, it wasn't just limited to Google Music (my email would go to Pandora, etc). It is a known issue, and has been repaired in 4.0.4. I haven't ever seen the other two though.

I had the popping on screen off when on 4.0.1.
I followed a suggestion from a thread on xda about it and turned on the equalizer (flat). This solved it for me.
Now on 4.0.4 I no longer have the issue with equalizer off.

I've gotten glitchy audio before. Normally I just reboot the phone and that fixes it. But that might have to do with the ROM/kernel I'm using. I don't mind too much since the phone doesn't take long to start.

Once I uninstalled Google Music, then reinstalled it. Let it "rediscover" my music collection from scratch. It hasn't done anything weird since.
