Accessories Got an HTC 1500mah battery today.

I took the plunge on the HTCExpress 1800 today. I had a Bidallies 1500, but it barely lasts longer than the stock battery. Really hoping that this one is better!

Not familiar with the Bidallies battery but I constitently get over 60 hours between charges with my 1800 HTC Express battery. Hope it works well for you too

It is the OEM HTC 1500 for the Touch Pro 2, available from ebay seller Bidallies. The one this whole thread is about.

OK, those with the 1500 from Bidallies have you noticed a change in drain since the November OTA upgrade? I have. Seems to drain quicker than before.

Your thoughts?

Regards,
Deanski

Did anyone else get the charger with the 1800 battery? Did it take forever to charge, or is maybe mine defective? I have had a battery in it now for about seven hours. Light still red, battery cool.

When the battery is charging the light is blue, red/magenta means it's fully charged. My battery was fully charged when I received it, I'm guessing your's was as well :).

Web site says charging-red, charged-blue. And that is how mine works.

It finally finished, and turned blue. Wow, long charge! Battery stayed cool, though.

I'm 99.9% sure my charger works the way I posted it does. I haven't used it in a while but I remember I'd go to sleep and the light would be blue, red in the morning. I'll have to re-check. Good luck with the battery. I love mine, It was the best $20 I've ever spent

looks like the 1800 htcexpress has gone up in price a little... $20...
HTC - HTCEXPRESS

any difference between the white and red labled batteries???

prices on amazon also went up from $39.99 (2 batterys +charger) to $59.99!!

htcexpress is still $39.99 and free shipping though

i think they are getting more popular, and the only difference is one will be white and the other red :D

Well, i managed to charged three batteries in it yesterday. It is red while charging, and blue when done.

Yeah, i am hoping this batt works as well as everyone says!

I purchased 2 of these at the beginning of August (one for an Incredible and one for an Eris).

I was very pleased w/ this battery the first couple of months (easily saw a 15% or so improvement). Though, I seem to be getting closer and closer to the results I was getting w/ my stock battery lately. Don't know if the battery is starting to crap out, 2.2 taxing it more, some combo of both,...Have basically the same settings, apps, usage patterns, etc.

So, anyone else w/ the bidallies 1500 seeing diminishing returns? I know there are multiple threads regarding this battery w/ varying results (mostly positive). On a day-to-day basis, this battery is still a little better than stock for me.

Anyone that jumped from the bidallies 1500 to the 1800 htcexpress battery feel it was worth it? I have read through the thread and it seems most are happy w/ the 1800. I am worried I would see similar results to the 1500 though (where I get a marked improvement in battery life initially, but after a couple of months start to see a drop).

Hell yes!

I've had the HTC 1500 since mid-June. I still use it and it seems as good as ever.... But I didn't see much of an increase over the stock with it. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad I spent the $15 for it and I still use it, but only as a backup for the 1800 I got from HTCExpress.

I saw much more of an increase with the 1800 over the 1500 than I did with the 1500 over the stock.

I ordered an 1800 from HTCExpress in white (for easy identification: red = stock; black = 1500; white = 1800) at the end of October and am still loving it. I'm now kicking myself for not ordering 2 back at that time since they were only $15/each when I ordered. I'll probably go ahead and buy a second one anyway.

So I won a bid on ebay for 2x1800 + charger for 30 bucks shipped. I was reading on amazon some people complained about not being able to charge the battery while it's in the phone having to use the external charger, anyone run into this problem?

if the ebay batteries you got are the same as the htcexpress.com batteries then yes it charges fine in the phone, however I cannot plug the USB into the wall charger that came with my batteries because it makes the screen go wacky... maybe that's what people meant. I think it is a common issues with these cheap wall chargers from ebay and such.

Yea, they are, chichitech has his own ebay store which so far in my opinion is the cheapest way to get them. Might be a little more hassle since you have to bid, but I won the set for $25 + 5 bucks shipping.

Second full charge on my 1800 from HTCExpress, and my stats are as follows: Up time 13:04, Awake time 3:34, battery left 52%. This was with using twitter, camera, calls, texts, facebook, quadrant a couple times, appbrain browsing, and about fifteen minutes of web.

This is WAY better than the 1500 Bidallies i got! Very Happy! Happy! Happy! Joy! Joy!

Today, i used it a lot. lots of email, market, camera, web, texts, facebook pic uploads, maps, Earth, and twitter, just to see what it would do.

5:32 awake time, 13:45 up time 8% left.

I think i can easily get through a normal day now, with normal use, and still have anywhere from 25 - 50% left.

Feels good doesn't it! ^_^

I've had my 1800 for several weeks now and I am very happy with it. Even with heavy use (for me), I rarely get below 35%. With the stock battery, it wasn't unusual to see the notification to charge the phone at the end of the day. I play 20 minutes of Angry Birds before seeing the batter indicator budge a micrometer.

I finally purchased the 1800mAh from HTC Express and I will report back once it arrives and I have a chance to put it through its paces. My phone is rooted, and I'm currently running Redemption ROM 2.2 since its release. Since then, I've been getting great life out of my stock battery. Yesterday, with moderate use - and some Angry Birds game-play - I got close to sixteen hours on a single charge. The phone was at eight percent before I charged it. I can't wait to see what type of batter life I get with an 1800 mAh battery and Redemption ROM.

Can you guys confirm these batteries are brand new and OEM?

I sent an email last week to the seller and never heard back.

TIA.

*OP: Sorry to get off track from your original post about the 1500. My first post was re: my experience w/ the bidallies 1500, but the 1800 has peeked my curiosity.

I got close to sixteen hours on a single charge.

I did the maths when I got mine a few months ago and if I did them correct the 1800mah bat should give you a ~27% increase in capacity. I went from getting 6-8hrs w/ normal use to easily 15 - 20 hrs (I have gotten 2 full days off one charge before with light use) so your charger is going to start to feel lonely if you're already getting good life out of your stock battery.

The 1800mah is not a OEM battery but they are new.
