Ok, I'm confused. How do I tell its flaking out if its just sitting here connected to the satellites and not going anywhere?
In the GPS Status and Toolbox app, you can go to the Radar screen and manually enter the Coord's of a cache and track it down that way. That's how we old timers did it with the old school GPSr's. And, we had to walk up hill, both ways, in the snow for every cache we went after to!!! LoL!!
Just pull the coords for the cache by logging into the GC.com in the phone's browser. Yeah, it's a pain, but it's just for testing. It's not like this is how you'll always have to do it.
I'd say, go try to or 3 caches this way and see how reliable it is. If you don't have problems, THEN put the Geocaching.com app back on there and go after a couple of more caches... See how it behaves.
And how is GC.com a waste of $10 when I have no alternatives? Since the other program you speak of is in private beta testing, $10 to geocache beats wandering around hoping you'll just bump into one. Its the only alternative to nothing right now..?
Honestly, it's just a crappy app. There are a couple of others. But, once we figure out what's going on with your GPS in the phone, I'll see if I can get you into the private beta for CacheSense.
