gs2 vs note vs nexus, which is better ?

which device above would you state is the best and why ?

oh...and is the note really that much faster than the gs2 when it comes to benchmarks ?

thanks in advance :)

Personally benchmarks don't mean much. If I had to choose one today I would definitely get the Nexus. Hardware wise it is very similar to the GSII but if you don't want to root and use custom ROMs the software on the Nexus is always going to blow away the GSII. The GSII camera has more MP, but that isn't everything and the Nexus has no capacitive buttons and has NFC.

The note I barely consider a phone. It is just way to big IMO. I saw one in the store and just couldn't imagine trying to talk on it.

I have the note. I wanted screen estate.

It's cut out my need for my net book when I wanna browse forums etc/casual use. Haven't used it since I've had the phone.

Typing is a breeze on it. Creating word documents for work on the go is nice too on this size of screen.

From a phone point of view it's no problem to use. Yes it's big but unless you have girly small hands, I can't see it being a problem for many people at all. I can't go back to anything smaller now.

Which phone you get is obviously up to you but I'm just saying why I like mine.

My wife has the note, and likes it a lot. Good enough for light browsing, and the screen makes it a really neat point and shoot camera.

I have a Rugby Smart because ruggedness is most important in my book

Galaxy S II or the Note depending what size your comfortable with.

I wouldn't go with Nexus due to the average camera, lower graphics performance for games and no sdcard slot.

Somewhat dramatic description considering the Galaxy S II and Nexus both use ICS, Nexus devices will always get the latest updates first but it really doesn’t matter.

I've gone through every major update and every time I wonder what all the hype was about, so long as the devices are updated it doesn’t matter.

what about the benchmarks ?
are they close ?

Galaxy S II and Galaxy Note are very simalar, just think of the Galaxy Note as a Galaxy S II with 5.3" HD screen and a slightly faster CPU (1.4GHz vs 1.2GHz)

Galaxy Nexus pretty much has the same CPU, the main difference comes from graphics performance where the Nexus gets dominated.

Below you can see how both compare at 1280*720, bare in mind the screen resolution on the Galaxy S II is 800*480 so the real world difference is allot bigger, but this would be accurate for the Note.

The difference is that the Note and SGS2 uses a superior chipset than the none on the Galaxy Nexus. While the clock rate of the CPU's a re the same, the Nexus uses the same GPU as the old Galaxy S1, which is why it falls behind in graphics benchmarks.

also herd that the build quality of the nexus is inferior to the gs2....looks like Samsung saved the best for themselves.

any one agree with this ?

Nexus devices aren't meant to be the best hardware these days, they are basically made as reference hardware to work well with the software. Samsung is going to make their build quality and hardware the best they possibly can for their flagship devices. Like others have said, the Galaxy Note is a larger version of the Galaxy S II. The only differences are the Galaxy Note has a higher resolution (1280x800), processor clocked at 1.4 ghz, and the S-pen with all of the added features and apps.
