Please let us know how you like it when it arrives. I always wanted to get an Incipio case for my DInc but that never ended up happening. Got one of those cheaper TPU cases for my S3 but I'll upgrade if the incipio ends up being that much better.

I was not considering the Commuter at first because I wanted the Defender but I have switch back to the Commuter and re-read your post.. is the power button mashing that bad? Would you recommend it?
 
Here's what I got: I like that the metal bumper has cutouts for the volume and power

That looks good. I like the fact that the power button and volume rocker has cutouts. My only concern is if the hole for the charger is wide enough.

Edit: Just saw a review of this type of case on youtube and the reviewer noted how the cutouts for the case are not aligned properly. On the Amazon pic section you can see it too.

The sides on this do not have any raised bumps. Its completely smooth like the rest of the case. There are no cutouts for the power or volume rocker. I think I might return this case because the manufacturer has admitted that some of their batches have a problem with the cutout(the hole being too narrow) for the charger. Therefore, you wont be able to fully plug in the charger. I just happen to stick one of my chargers through there to see and I can kinda see that happening to this case. Can't tell until I get the phone but I might by some other cases in the meantime just in case. Otherwise, the case seems to be nice. Real glossy material(fingerprint magnet!) with a rubbery inside.

like, the gsiii is about almost 9mm, so the case is like... 11mm? 12mm? how thick, if you can measure it, that'd be great, thanks!

I already have this case for my bionic like it alot. I also ordered the blue. I'm going to buy the yellow I think it should go well with the blue

*edit Verizon has a white/grey one looks exclusive I just ordered that one looks nice on the blue
 
I emailed Otterbox about the issue with the Commuter; being hard to press the power button.

A moment ago I received an email from them, they are sending me a new Commuter. So, I wonder if the 'rubber gel' on my current one is just too hard\faulty. They shipped a replacement, without even digging into it further. I wonder if they were already aware of the issue. Interesting...

Im thinking about either the Clear Matte Androidified CruzerLite TPU Case, Diztronic Matte Back Black Flexible TPU Case, or Diztronic High Gloss Black Flexible TPU Case at this point.

Doubt it.

I had the wrong screen protector come and originally he was going to ship me 2 new screen protectors. He wasn't able to order that, so just sent a whole new Otterbox.

Seems like they just are easy to deal with like that.

The "S" design on the back of that case seems to be real popular amongst these case designers. Im surprised they aren't suing each other.

Did you sew any belt loops or velcro straps in the back of that pouch?
 
Could anyone post a pic of the Galaxy S3 in an otterbox Commuter? Other than the one that is split, one the front and back. Like a photo you took of ur galaxy in the commuter? I'm getting my Galaxy in a few weeks and I want to see how bulky the commuter makes this already large phone. Thanks :)
 
Just received my Diztronic case a few days ago, seems to be of great build quality and such, unfortunately I don't have pictures of it on the device (Verizon customer :banghead:) but here's some pictures anyway :)
