No, no, dear, I moved back in 2006, and went to several parades before first being knocked down by a brain tumor, its surgery, and its aftermath; then, more recently--when I was absent from AF for 2+ years--I nearly died from sepsis, spending six months on IV antibiotics, and seven surgeries, in the hospital. For a long time afterward, I was too weak to type, or do anything but stay in bed watching TV; BORING!

Just BTW, I grew up in Pasadena, three blocks south of Colorado Blvd (where the parade is). We'd get up early, walk three blocks north (yeah, kids actually WALKED back then!), and watched the parade. We later moved next door to Arcadia, which is where I am now. I took the long way home, though--I lived in Florida (my husband's home state), New Mexico, and Texas before finally...thankfully--and permanently moving back home. :)
 
oh my i am so sorry you went through so much! And so glad you overcame life changing illnesses! I too have had several rounds in the boxing ring since joining the forum. You are a trooper! And you're gotten to live in some of the greatest states :D .
