I don't know if that post should be considered SPAM or not, but either way, 50MB a month isn't much data for a Android phone...

Spam? I'm just trying to help anyone who may want to do this I think we all know 50mb is not much at all for android that's why I don't recommend page plus for people wthout wifi.

I currently have verizon. Before doing this do I need to cancel my verizon line? And if I don't what would happen if I switched to PPlus and didn't pay my verizon bill. Will that affect the esn on PPlus later?

Spam? if you want page plus here is the info if not move on.

This is a post advertising a commercial service (phone plan) before any question about said service has been asked by another forum member. I see no difference between page plus, Verizon, AT&T, or Joe's shoes posting unsolicited advertisements (or guides to buying their commercial products) on forum boards. At any rate, if its NOT SPAM I have as much right to comment on the 50MB data plan as you do to post the add for page plus. Maybe you should be the one moving on if you want to be rude about it.

I shouldn't have made a big deal out of it. This this forum is here to help others so I owe an apology to.

I bought a used Ally for my son back in September and activated it on Page Plus without a problem. I used Tasker to turn off mobile data, but this had to be done every time the phone restarted. One time we ran up $13 in data charges (a minor amount), but that was enough for me to call Page Plus and have data disabled. I now use Tasker to look for known Wifi networks and turn Wifi on when one is found, and then turn it off again when out of range.

Without mobile data, the only thing that doesn't work is MMS. He can still call and SMS fine, and email works when near Wifi - which is often because our home ISP (Cablevision) has a lot of areas covered with Wifi.
