Root [Guide] Optimus V ROMS do flash with touchscreen working!!

It's probably your gapps. Try flashing a different version. If I were close to my computer right now, I'd replace those files and see if my market crashes too.

system\etc\gps.conf (This does make the GPS work faster :D)

Dont do it until I figure out what's causing Market to fail

EDIT:
I tried to not replace the entire bin folder
Market works now :D
accelerometer doesnt :/
its somewhere in that folder that messes up market....

wpa_supplicant
 
My Wi-Fi is bugging up. At first it worked fine, but every once and a while, it will say it's still connected, but nothing will load. Pretty weird, but it's probably just something bad on my part.

Everything's working just fine for me, maybe your phone itself is just being buggy, try rebooting.
 
Yeah, that seemed to help. Alright, so Wi-Fi, check. Accelerometer, check. GPS, check. I guess data is next, although I don't know how we'll test it since we both don't have service.

I'm not too worried about data yet, I'm more worried about just getting it to connect to Metro at all...
 
You guys are fantastic! I still have active service with Metro, so I can probably help test for the service aspect. I'm not a programmer at all but can test if something works; ie phone, text, mms, etc.
 
I still cant get the radio working though, as soon as I do I'll tell you what I replaced and I'll upload on mediafire
 
Oh hey, sammyz. I forgot to ask. What ROM are you getting the files from to port? Reppard's CM7.1?

I'll tell you what I have tried, I need to log this stuff down instead of looking at dates...

replaced
system/xbin (nothing)
system/usr (nothing)
system/lib/egl (nothing)
system/framework/com.android.location.provider.jar (im trying this right now........nothing)
...............
 
Also, I'm thinking maybe the radio drivers are somewhere in the /system/bin folders. I think some of those contain the drivers we're looking for. Now only to find out which ones. o.o

If we use the one that didn't boot for some then I'm sure it will happen if we use all those files to port....it might just be only the boot.img that needs to be changed within that zip, it was probably a bad boot.img and some of our phones would take it and others wouldn't

No, it isnt, I already replaced that entire folder with a successful boot up and market would not work but it fixed accelerometer.

No, I'm saying that my phone was one of the phones that wouldn't boot, so I'm using the one that works for the people who wouldn't boot. And I'm pretty sure that the one that was remade for the people that wouldn't boot is universal for all M's too (correct me if I'm wrong)
