hmm i made a nandroid backup and the OP says that it will use about 2GB. mine only came out to about 950MB. I have a 2GB external sd card so i was a little worried about making the nandroid backup but now im left wondering whether the OP exaggerated or my insufficient memory space made it screw up? also on the recovery i saw something about sd_ext not found but in the end it said back up complete. i followed the instructions to the letter so i know i didnt mess up

Do you always have to press 2nd-Init Recovery first every time you start the app?

If you don't have enough storage it won't backup everything. You only have to hit that button once.

Yeah... If i hold up and power it boots, blackscreens at metro logo, auto boots at first button touch.

If i tap power, repeatedly tap up as it boots... Same thing.

Press no button.. Lg logo flashes twice, lgmetro boorscreen goes to metro logo. With google now installed it boots to the system updating popup but no further. Vibrates if you long hold home button.

Did you click the second button in the app then when it booting hit the volume button.
