[GUIDE] V6 SuperCharger, KAK Tweaks, and 3GTurboCharger Scripts on the Prevail

If you don’t know what these scripts are but, would like to know and find the most up-to-date info on it go to Zepplinrox’s thread (the creator of these scripts) in the XDA forums here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=991276

Thanks go to Zepplinrox and all who helped and contributed to the information gathered that enabled him to make these awesome scripts. Also, to all who have and will contribute to the best Prevail settings in this forum.

I am simply a Prevail user who is very appreciative of the freaking awesome community we have here and I would like to share some of my experiences back with the community. I have been using the scripts since zepplin started putting out releases of this. I have played around with the different settings numerous times and have figured out the best settings for me. I have noticed a lot of new comers to our forums lately and have gotten quite a few PMs from people asking me about this so here it is.

Things you need
Note: if you are on any of the custom ROMs or rooted, you already have busybox and you don’t need it so don’t try and install it. You’ve been warned..

1. BusyBox (I recommend being rooted even though zepplinrox says this can go on any ROM)
2. Script Manager from the market.

Download the files
First. Download the files at the bottom of the post and put them on your SDcard.

CTMOD users!!! you DO NOT need to run the script below because the settings that this script adds to your build.prop already exist in your CTMOD build.prop. Bloodawn added them already and I have seen a few people reported that it reduced their 3G speeds after installing it. You have been warned.....

3G TurboCharger
1. Open script Manager
2. Look for 3G TurboCharger_ installer_update_3_RC2.sh.txt and tap
3. In the pop-up menu tap the SU box and hit save
4. Hit run
5. Options menu comes up right away
My most reliable and fastest settings are option 6 “fastest”
6. Tap for keyboard
7. Enter # 6
8. Press enter
9. Let it run
10. Choose # 11 for reboot

Yay!!! You’re done! Good luck.. you should notice the phone is a little snappier with less lag when you have a few apps open. Keep in mind people that this is still an entry level device and even though we are able to tweak the hell out of it. Thanks to the awesome Devs we have here, when you get to multitasking, its gonna lag some. This just helps a bit.

Can all this supercharge stuff be incorporated into a future CTMOD release? Or is it unnecessary or redundant in some way if you are using CTMOD?

I think I'll be trying this over the weekend when I can actually think better. Thank you mavrikmeercat :)

you need to check your build.prop to see what changes are made... from what I understand blooddawn incorporated alot of these tweaks already..

Thanks for reinforcing that. I thought that was the case, but Blood is the best one to evaluate that I guess.

thanks mavrik for all the help and guidance along the way...now as soon as i get my phone to start acting right im deff gonna give it a shot : )

Im running CTMOD right now just to see how it is configured and I do see a lot of the things the script does as far as build.prop goes but the minfree and oom group settings (as far as I know) dont exist in CTMOD. Blood may say differently but I'm pretty sure CTMOD's memory management is standard GB android. Just with some additional tweaks in the build.prop. Now if you run CTMOD, you do not need to use 3G TurboCharger. All that si is build.prop tweaks and the same settings are already in CTMOD. Im gonna edit the op to let people know this

ctmod comes with a ram optimization script enabled

Actually, I think this just might be the only step-by-step for this anywhere... I have been searching high and low and have come up with zip.

I was trying to give some links to alternate guides to reference.

let me know if you find anything..

im running 187mod(HBS). it has koumakernel 1.0 i was thinking about upgrading to koumakernel 1.1 can i run the setup for the Kakernelizer tweeks befor i install koumakernel 1.1 or shoule i do it after? or does it matter?

so i put on all the tweeks this morn. then checked my speed test. it went from 800kbps-1200kbps(download) down to low 200s. and went from 400kbps-600kbps down to 250+kbps(upload) then did a benchmark test. total score of 1681. that was the firs time i did the benchmark so i dont no what it was before. but the speed test went way dowm. is there a process to start over and do again, or can i just delete the tweeks from sd card and uninstall the script manager and start over? or not start over

the tweaks are not run from the sd card. they modify /system.
3g turbo adds some lines to your build.prop
ipv4, tweakzv4 and 66citbun are in /system/ect/init.d

3g and kak have uninstall instructions when you run the script and the others can just be removed from init.d using a file explorer.

look for the option unsupercharger and unkernelizer in the script and do like vincent said, go to system/etc/init.d and delete 99supercharger and 98kernelizer from the folder. 3gturbocharger goes in your build.prop so not sure how to get rid of that without manually editing it. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND EDITING YOUR BUILD.PROP IF YOU ARE NEW AT THIS..

Looks like 187 is like CTMOD.. most of those tweeks are already in the build.prop with the exception of the oom group fixes. no need to install these scripts other than supercharger. I would recommend option 6 balanced "512hp + bulletproof launcher" but you may decide differently...

Everything works great except the Kernel tweak.. I did everything in order as directed twice and for some reason when i do the kernel tweak and reboot it will go into a bootloop.. no problem to fix with CWM but I would love to see the scripting work on my device.. :) NE suggestions on what i may be doing wrong?

in the kak, don't enable the IO scheduler.. read the script it will tell you it more likely to cause bootloops
