Root {GUIDE x2} Update to ZVD/Root ZVD

It should. I'm running 100% stock ZVD right now and have not had any lag or slowdowns. I did factory reset the phone after the update in order to make sure nothing got left behind too.

This update made my phone run way smoother with no lag so i would say yes it will.
 
AAAHHHH its so tempting. I want to update but i like my ICK rom, homeless kernel, and the way the screen locks on ICK ^_^ i dont want to f*ck anything up
 
I just noticed that the compass is much smoother than before. Its as smooth as my old HTC Droid Eris and the iPhone. Before it would jump around.
 
Just updated to ZVD and rooted, was a fairly simple and straight forward process. SO far so good, lets see if it behaves a little better now.
 
Soooo tempted to upgrade from B, but haven't had issues to complain about on B. Will prolly wait till next week and see if I've changed my mind.
 
My phone reboots when i power on after a wall charge, somehow it manages to fix itself when i attempt to power on again
 
has anyone flashed ICK successfully and can confirm the ICK screen lock animation still works?
 
I never had a reboot issue with ZVB and ZVC will wait a week or so before upgrading to ZVD.
 
Man i don't know why i don't trust my instinct, Think I'll go back to B. this shit just froze on me all I'm doing is surfing the web nothing is being responsive I'll have to do a hard shut down.

It is worth the update. It made my phone much smoother with no lag and the boot up is faster by a bit, apps open much faster and i herd that it fixed the radios for the service and that means less battery drain. And one thing they took out was the Metro sound on the boot up.

I havent had any of these issues so that's why i'm willing to wait.

Did you do a factory reset after applying the update? If not you might have some old stuff lingering around that is causing this. I did a factory reset after the first boot with ZVD and haven't had a single issue.

weird you are the only one reporting that so far:confused:....... I haven't had any issues so far and I've been playing with it since 7am eastern time this morning.:p

did one before installing idk.1.7 zvc data wipe cache wipe and dekal.. Said i was going back to B first sign of trouble and here i go lol. next upgrade or update will be for cm9 or something

you are using LDK-ICK ZVB & ZVC ICS Hybrid on zvd right? instead of the stock zvd that's probably why you crashed. you said on the other thread you installed LDK-ICK on zvd.

yep ldk-ick 1.7 zvc. maybe but don't matter now i'm already back on B lol with no problems ;)
