Not ATM.
Just one PC @ home (W 8.1) , work PC's(W7) are locked down, don't allow most exe's/etc....
Not a biggie, just wanted to update, I'll try again in a few days or so, sooner if you think of something else to try.

OK,I made a back-up & performed a factory reset (still rooted).
Still can't update using the tools given, but, the update has downloaded onto my phone from LG & the prompt is ever-present in the notification pull-down bar.
Not too worried about updating the rooted one (I'll get it eventually),just wanna stop the persistent notification from LG.
Any folder I can navigate to delete/stop this prompt?
FWIW,I have ROOT explorer, can use any file explorer necessary.
THX!

it says boot error 1003 everytime i try and doesn't go through. im on the new v10i that was released august 20. it is rooted but twrp will not flash

Any help will be appreciated on this.
Trying to update to v10i kdz following the guide, but I am getting this error
Capture.JPG

had to pull battery to get out of download mode.
The OTA says "downloaded an verified" and won't clear from notification bar. I have root and twrp on metropcs.
Thanks.

Edit: I was able to stop the notification by disabling notifications from google play services, but I can't find where the OTA download is to delete it, nor get the "safe" update to flash.

I've never gotten that error before, but a quick google search came up with the "csmg b2c client tool" that it's asking you for. Install it then try again. Here's the link...

yes, just make sure you follow every step of the process and if is possible use my LP 5.1.1 One Click Root if want to do things easy...

P.S. Don't forget to "Enable OEM Unlock" under Dev. Option if not you won't be able to flash/access to Custom Recovery.
Sorry, but I am a bit confused now.
I have root and recovery, I followed the LP 5.1.1 One Click Root as mine came with 5.1.1. - Did back-ups with TWRP, then the OTA update showed up.
So, to clarify so I don't break anything, just follow the v10i kdz guide to update, and root and TWRP will still be there, correct? I won't need to root again and flash TWRP?

if you go for the KDZ side, you'll need to Re-Root and Re-Flash TWRP,

Note: Restoring using KDZ will break Root and Custom Recovery and another note to be on the safe side, SAFE every important document/picture/file from internal storage and move it to External SD Card.

Okay, got it now...

Is there another way to get the update that is safer and easier? Or is the kdz way the only option?

if you want all the new Updates (Modem/Kernel/System/Etc) so yes KDZ v10i is the only way to go and no worries is safe and easier (just take some time :p )
Thanks for the clarification, I am new to this stuff.
One more question, will this revert the phone back to factory; out of the box?
If yes, once I get recovery back, then I can just flash my backup from today and it will bring everything back with all the new updates?

Just a note, the guide I wrote in the first post covers updating, one click rooting, and installing twrp recovery.

This will update you to factory V10i firmware. If you make a backup for V10d firmware before updating to V10i then only restore "data" from your v10d backup to get your settings and user apps back. Do not restore anything else from the V10d backup.

Ok, so I would only restore "Data".
Don't restore "Boot", "System", "Cache" or "EFS" partitions.
I would have only "Data" checked and hit restore?
