Lurker
I was flashing new radio nv. Didnt have the back in the phone. Battery fell out and now the it wont turn on wont charge no lights nothing have tried almost everything took out sd battery held vol pwr put battery back in. Tried every thing any one have any idea how to fix this?

I have heard that pulling battery while flashing radios would brick phone.

I honestly don't know what you need to do to fix it or if this will help, but i saw this earlier, maybe it will do you some good?
I would get no response. Tried the 3-5 steps more then five
times. Eventually I gave up, put the phone back together and threw it on the wall charger
for the night and when I awoke this morning there was a solid green light and I am happy to report I am sending this message via my phone. No data was wiped, no issues at all. No logical explanation as to why. But once again, I am a proud evo owner.

It was in this thread, http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all-things-root/488873-hard-brick-issue-tried-unbrick-guide.html

There is a link to an unbrick guide in that thread you might try.

I know this is round about but wanted to let you see what this guy went through.

Well since the battery came out while flashing a radio you effectively bricked it.

I am not aware of any method to bring it back.

Yeah same. Radios are dangerous. I get super nervous whenever I flash 'em.
Best of luck, hopefully someone, somewhere figures this out and finds a fix...

Thank GOD for this thread...I was flashin' away last night w/ no back on my phone..no radios, but still!! lesson learned (the easy way)!

As long as your not flashing radios there shouldn't be a problem other than needing to reflash the ROM, but I would get into the habit of having the back on there

yep agreed.

to the op, man that sucks. i unfortunately do not know if there is a way to revive your evo. i have yet to find anybody who has unbricked their evo after pulling the battery (well in your case falling out) while it is installing the radios.

I'm actively trying to get my phone into a pure bricked state (I'm having this exact problem which has no known fix) so that I can take it in to Sprint. I can't get to S-ON no matter what I try, so they would know that its been rooted and most likely wouldn't replace it.

I've tried pulling the battery out while flashing the radio at least 15 times, but it still manages to load the bootloader every time I turn it back on. Can you be more specific as to when the battery should be removed during the radio flash in order to facilitate a bricked EVO?

I'll echo what Rxpert says, as you're essentially trying to purposely brick your handset for the intention of getting a replacement, we can't help you, sorry.

Fwiw, we'd a member here who worked for Sprint and I believe he said they will still replace if it's rooted so it might be worth giving them a call. Or maybe another member can confirm.
