Ty scary alien, i will definitely follow up on the info you shared with me! Any particular reason why you don't use multirom, just don't care for it, or could cause some problems? Ive read nothing but good things about it. Thanks again boss ;)

Oh, no reason I've not played with MultiROM other than time :) -- from what I've researched, it's very innovative and interesting.

Have a great one! :)

I tried multiROM for a while and it worked great. However, I soon came to realize I was a one ROM at a time person. It is useful to test out a ROM, I suppose, but having Nandroid backups makes that easy anyway. I was a little worried about having different ROMs using the same data on the internal drive and, especially, the need to keep separate Titanium Backups or things would get very confusing. So I chucked multiROM on my devices.

Just my preferences. As I said, had no trouble with it.

The KK(cm-11-STABLE-grouper) and the JB(10.2Grouper) Roms I run, both access the Data on the "sd-card". As I restored user apps with T.B., the T.B. data, is accessing the single data library T.B. has on that card, ... (I think):)

Oddly however, the utouch_trusty is not connecting to, or finding the same data source, (the start screen say's so) so there's no access to any music or books etc. and it's proven unstable on the tablet, so I'll not be keeping it.

My checklist for issues with multirom

Make sure it is up to date - The Multirom Manager is a fantastic app that can tell you at a glance if you need to update, it will also download the latest version and setup the TWRP update script. All you need to do is reboot.

Be wise with kernel sharing - The kexec kernel patch required for multirom to properly function has been applied to many ROM's and third party kernels, the list at the XDA multirom thread is a quick check. If in doubt always try installing the ROM first without sharing the internal ROM kernel, if it fails to boot you can flash a third party kernel like Franco to the secondary ROM and test again.

You should always try to separate kernels when possible as you don't know if the ROM developer made tweaks, if you are running a secondary ROM that you know for sure is using the same kernel as your internal then by all means share it. For example running a nandroid backup of your primay ROM as a secondary or Roms you know share the same kernel because one is a fork of the other.

Flashing zips - people probably have more issues flashing the gapps package more than anything else. The most common issue is using a version not compatible with your ROM followed by flashing to many packages on top of each without booting the ROM to allow the packages to settle. I make it a point to flash only one zip at a time, boot the ROM, then proceed with the next, especially on secondary roms.

Also, did you flash backups, a nandroid , or extracted files from a nandriod and allowed it/replaced system files?

Don't use MultiROM or have personally experienced this myself, but System UID Inconsistent Error [Solved] - xda-developers indicates a "fix permission" operation in custom recovery might fix you up.

I thought that I read something about this when researching MultiROM, but I can't be sure...

Best of luck!

Good call.

You will find the option to repair permissions on roms under the advanced menu of the modified TWRP advanced/multirom.

No ive not flashed any backups, or so, i justed down loaded the rom and gapps, and went from there . Thank you all for your input!! ;-)

If its your primary ROM having uid issues then try TWRP's fix permissions option.

If its a secondary ROM and you really want to try you can swap your primary with the secondary in question and then try to fix permissions then. I don't reccomend this option and you should have a nandroid of your most important roms before attempting it.

If a secondary ROM were messed up on my tablet I would back it up in TWRP ROM management, then delete it. Reinstall the ROM from scratch and restore the backup data only or just use a nandroid extractor to grab the data I need.

Don't compress your backups if you plan on extracting single files from it, it seems to really mess with some nandroid browsers.

Now that you put it that way,, i do recall that the primary 4.4.2 is the one that shows the partion image i showed, but the cm 10 and 11 roms on mynexus does that s.u granted shell pop up,but it seems to only do it when watchin youtube and then turning up volume [ coincidence ] just something ive noticed wen the granted shell shows up! anyone else noticed anything?
