Root Has anyone rooted using goldcard method

Has anyone tried to root using the goldcard method? I was searching through some forums for mts and mentioned that.... I would try it but dont have the evo right,now..... Maybe will point someone in right direction my mt4g now so will post link to gold card later.....

you know i was unware of that method. interesting. have not tried it. for those intersted i found this here:How to root the HTC EVO 4G - Know Your Cell. seems like unrevoked or the auto root is better though.

yep that would be auto root [ROOT] ~~~ HTC EVO - Auto Root ~~~ v2.5 (4/25/11) - xda-developers. i wish i rooted with this method.

I hadn't heard of it. I wonder if it is spin off of unrevoked or auto root. You can have Unrevoked flash Amon RA instead of CWM when it roots. I believe you just need the amon ra .img file and change it in settings before rooting.

unfortunately that is a no. there is no exploit yet founf for the newest hboot. all of theses methods requires that an exploit be found for the hboot in order for it to work.

I know I was thinkin the gold card as I saw thats the only way to break the s on mytouc h slide the root stepts for that come just short of sticking your leg in the air will siting crossleged haha its more that one methed combined to gain root I will give it a try in the morning like I wasalways taught you will never know unless u try hehe

I used goldcard for our inspire...it was a major pain in the arse but I don't recall why...I just know it took me about 4 hours.

I forget why it was necessary and was not familiar with it working on Evo's...

of course unrevoked was so easy..I had no reason to do it any other way.
