Your warentee was void the se bond you tried flashing an incomparable rom....

Have you tried the Odin return to stock?

Okay so I rooted my Metro PCS admire and it was fine running well until that wasnt enough for my dumbass I had to have ROMS so I attempted to put cyanogen mod on my phone and later I find out that it isnt made for it:mad: so I go to the metro store and try to pull off and "I don't know it just wont turn on" but the lady tried to lie to me and say the the area to plug the charger in was "loose" what do I do now? is there anyway i can unbrick my phone?:(

Can you boot in to recovery? If so download a rom you know or if you have a nanodroid backup flash that. Just wipe data, cache, and delvic cache before flashing the new rom in recovery.

Im not sure how to boot into recovery but if you tell me ill figure out it wont hard rest and theres no responsiveness when plugged in computer

Believe only corporate stores:eek: honor warranty...will soon find out on my broken gorrila glass esteem

Yeah sounds like you messed it up good. Just remember to make sure a rom is made for your phone.

Sorry couldn't help you further as I have a bolt and was trying general fix for your problem.

I would go to a different store. And maybe someone can help you further.

Go to metro store and tell them your phone won't turn on. They'll give you a new same phone. But take the SD Card with you if you still want your media. That's what i did..
Though it'll be a new, wiped phone. So you have to reroot it, get the new PRLs..etc.
But i'm sure someone who knows what to do can help ya more.

All,

I've moved this thread to the all-things-root section.

Hopefully, someone in this sub-forum might have some additional good ideas for the OP.

Cheers and good luck!

(edit: I've also merged the other, similar thread with this one)

remove sd card..take to store and say I called. *228 and pressed update roam list whatever that is and it said done and rebooted and went black...what do I do? act dumb and don't say titanium backup or rom or root just say you use it for work and texting...not really sure how to use the music player yet....please help.

Lol I did that with my optimus m couldn't get it to work it was bricked I loaded a non optimus rom so I could get a new phone. Took it in he removed the battery like ten times and as he filled out the warranty the phone booted up he seen the su app then voided my warranty and said oh well lol. So make sure you really **** that thing up lol

Ok first let me get this off my chest. :D:D:D:D:D:D Lmfao.
Ok, sorry. Its just funny when people get desperate and install non official roms on their phones. Do this, pull the battery out then put it back on. Connect your charger and leave it alone for about half an hour so it can get a good charge. You should see the battery symbol come on while charging, if not then try another charger. After the half hour charge try getting into recover by holding volume down, back and power. Then do a wipedata/factory reset. After that you should be should. I dont think your phone is bricked. Hope you did a backup before you tried flashing non official rom on your phone. :)

Thing was I didn't make a back up and had cm7 installed I wanted to give to my gf but had no way to program it due to cm7 lack of programming menu so I installed a ascend rom thought it was bricked until the guy did his thing and the cm7 bootloader popped up. Lol the things you do to get a factory warranty...

Guys,

Not to be a buzzkill here, but when you make the decision and take the steps to root your phone, you are taking responsibility for whatever happens as a result of that. The consequences than occur because of mistakes that are made during the course of such rooting are not the responsibility of the carriers or manufacturers.

We do not advocate or allow discussion of how to game the system and hoodwink a carrier into fixing or replacing a disabled device that you were responsible for causing.

It might be instructive to review this document (realizing that its not all just about tethering):

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding regarding this.

You do realize this is metro a company that charges a 2 dollar fee to pay your bill...and the service sucks the manufacture should realize that these type of apps or mods to your phone could cost them money in the long run.maybe instead of sending a phone before receiving it could save money if they checked what the problem was before sending a new phone. Sounds like there needs to be a better procedure in place to check if its their software or someone like the consumer is at fault.
