Root Help CTMod 2.4

I just flashed CTMod 2.4. Now I cant get A2SD to flash. I accidentally repartitioned my Sd card before I put A2sd back on. I was hoping to move up from 2.3 to 2.4 seamlessly but I messed it up somehow. I lost most of my apps including Android Market. CTMod2.3 was running flawlessly. Do I need to start over from Rooted GB? If so how can I save all my contacts? Thanks for your help. I love this forum and my phone, please please help!

ok for a2sd to flash you will need to go to the mount menu and mount /system and /data.

when you first go it will say mount. you click it and it will change to say umount when it says that you know its mounted.
Ok if you repartitioned then everything on the sd is gone I would say, so unless you had a back up of that on your computer your starting over as far as apps go.
contacts are actually synced with google and saved with your email. so soon as you sign into email on the phone contacts will be repopulated.

Android market should be in 2.4 so unless you had other problems it is there may want to flash 2.4 again, then a2sd again, after mounting /system and /data

Did you make a backup? You need titanium backup to save your apps. And if you went to cmw you could have made a backup of 2.3 which has all your stuff.

Been there. Done that. Got the Hoth T-shirt. Killed Admiral Ozzel for it.

Learned that CWM backups are your friend.

Likely the repartition nixed your data. Otherwise, you probably would have had a chance to fix it. You could have then run "adb" on your pc, run "su" and then "a2sd repair" to reset the sym links and flags.

UPDATE: And yes I understand this isn't more positive info than what new optimus and alsaces daddy provided. I just wanted to include in the discussion a potential recovery method for future searchers of the forum who lucked out and while didn't have a CWM backup, did not repartition their SD card.

I was told to factory reset then reflash CTMod 2.4 and A2SD and now I'm back on track.
