Root Help! Full Wipe not clearing Internal Memory! New ROM, no apps 2mb free.

Hey guys just as I'd been fearing, i was turned away for not bein under warranty. and the repair cost would be INR 9,000.Just to give u some perspective, I bought the phone for INR 27,000 a year and 2 months ago.

Exchange rates are approximately $1= INR48

And i found a shop to exchange it at,for 11,000 and sell(cash return) at 9,000. I need a quick opinion.
He's offered me a Xperia Ray(used for '2 days' but he'll give me a bill from today's date with my name) for INR 4,800 extra.(not quite sure who's conning whom ;)) But I've always hated Sony UIs. and as far as ROM development goes, it's got little support.The deal seems too good to be true though.
and a Samsung Galaxy for 7,800 extra (Cost is 18800).I cant afford a Galaxy S2 and I really think I should ditch this before my phone fails completely.
I hate to leave my desire behind.

Any thoughts.I know Im rambling a bit ;)
 
i dont know enough about either phones to comment, if the support system is that bad there then you dont really have a choice but to leave the desire mate.

Im considering picking up a Samsung Galaxy Ace for around INR2000 ($45)more just to stay on something I can atleast call a smartphone and going for a good upgrade later down the line,in a couple of months. Or should i put in $165 and go for a phone similar to the desire and equally 'old', the Galaxy S.
What would you do?
