Root Help! Is my phone completely bricked?

the twrp file needs to be in your android folder where you have the fastboot.exe file. so it depends on where you have those files in.
The TWRP file?? Do i create one or where do i find this?

fastboot flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.0-jewel.img
I believe this is what i should type in the window. I assume my device should be connected for this process to be effective? ;)

correct you need to use that command and yes you need to be connect to the pc and you also need to be in fastboot on your phone as well.

Okay....

Success!! You know i didn't remove the "fastboot flash recovery" from this >> openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.0-jewel.img. LOL

But it seem to went well. Now... how to know if this really work? And do i need to have goo manager installed? I believe this was the caused for everything...when i install OpenRecoveryScript.

I never really used goo manager......I do everything manually myself.

Not sure what you mean, but there is nothing to remove from that file.just download and move to the right folder is all you need to do.

Forget goo manager.

It's a great shortcut when all is well, and you only use it when you know how to fastboot flash - because goo manager isn't perfect.

Knowing how to successfully manage a fastboot flash of recovery is an essential rooting skill. ;)

^+1. Only use goomanager to download gapps and possibly a rom if it's on their server.

Really?

I update recovery with it - when recovery is working fine to begin with - and I don't expect it to succeed all of the time.

I'm anal and have to flash recovery via fastboot when possible. But yeah, it works well enough other than the fact you have to be rooted.

I'm back flashing Roms again.

I don't know how I deleted my 'TWRP' folder with all my anandroid backups. I'll try not to include "data" when wiping a Rom moving 4wrd.

Thanks for the assistance guys, for a minute there...I thought my phone was borked. (smile)

I'm currently in the process of reinstalling all my apps -- as well as creating anandroid backups. [AstroFile Manager & Titanium Backup]

Peace! :thrasher:

Well you need to still wipe data.....in twrp it is called factory reset......data has to be wiped.......it should not have messed with your sd card or your nandroids......keep wiping data.......you should have at least one nandroid backup backed up on your pc just in case.......I still have my original froyo backup from my og evo.........it is in my dropbox.

I'm on it right now...that is..to make sure to have at least one nandroid stored on my laptop. ;)

I've made it a habit to keep the original stock nandroid that I made when I first rooted the device on the phone, just in case. I haven't needed it...yet, but you never know. :)

Which recovery?

Did you update your bootloader?

What happened to get you here?

What does stuck mean - won't respond to buttons?

Does it respond to any fastboot or adb commands from your pc?

Even after successfully (I think) flashing TWRP, I'm still stuck at the white screen of death.

Help me, Earlymon. LOL

What hboot are you on - if the new 2.09 from rumrunners and if flashed from sd card as Captain suggested, drop him a line, see if he has any insights.

And if you did it that way - did you remove the img file from your sd card after you flashed the bootloader - because otherwise it creates a problem of always flashing if you left it there.

I believe i removed the img file from sd card... and then I'm not quite sure.

So, basically...I'm puff.

What about flashing the ViperRom ruu?

You're going too fast for me.

You said that you got the recovery to flash.

Was it stock TWRP or for KitKat?

Were you able to reflash it after that, when I posted?

Did you change the bootloader?

When in the sequence of things did problem start?

I'm sorry. :)

Actually, I flashed both a few times.
Were you able to reflash it after that, when I posted?
Yes. Two to three times to no avail. :(
Did you change the bootloader?
Nope!
When in the sequence of things did problem start?
After trying to dirty flash yankee's ROM.
