Root [Help] Kernel Testers

CPU z is an app that reads CPU info
And the second part is something u put in terminal emulator
That line is the same thing that a CPU app would read. They just input it for ya ;)

Need help please. I really want to try this out, but have forgotten how to use fasboot. I adb reboot-bootloader, then I tried both fastboot flash boot build16.zip and fastboot boot build16.zip. I reboot but nothing appears changed (I use the rb3 kernel).

I know I'm missing something lol. Im just rusty, havent used fasboot since I rooted way back.

flash the zip in recovery. only .img files will work through fastboot, and even then your wifi wont work unless u flash the zip in recovery

I just flashed it as a kernal works for me
using rashr from play store

I flashed it. Locked it at 1.99 with Trickster. I can sense the speed in there, some stuff really opens fast, but in general everything is pretty laggy for some reason. A slight delay for example when swiping down the status bar.

Also, I haven't had any random reboots or anything yet. I even set the gov to performance for a little while which seemed to help the lag for a short time. Everything was super fast and then it lagged after 20 seconds or so.

I think it's very cool that rb is continuing development on this device...my concern however is stability and heating issues on a device that runs on the hot side natively. Shouldn't we maybe turn our attention to a reasonable CPU/GPU speed with governor and IO options and undervolting? Not trying to be a "Debbie Downer" but as we all know benchmarks don't necessarily reflect daily performance. I'm just concerned that the quest for bleeding edge may be shadowing the need of daily usability. Don't get me wrong I love bleeding edge...just thinking of the long term.

I agree.

Man you guys get to have all the fun dang. I need a link. I just want to run it to test otg. Wish I had a 64 gb micro sdhc. I haven't been feeling so well lately so I am patient and hopefully will feel better soon to write some guides.

wifi works
back down to 1.8 GHz
rest of the kernel goodies i added (security fixes, filesystems, drivers)
overflow protection from prima wifi (may help with LARGE downloads)

i ran into a problem with wifi loading, i'll fix immediately
