You need to be booted in Android OS to send adb commands
Go ahead and do this while it's booted
adb shell
And see if it returns $ or #

Also watch your devices screen and see if superSU pops up with a su request from adb shell

That's what's wrong and why you can not change things in system......
The kernel is secure and still has write protection on the system partition.
Looks like S-OFF is starting to look pretty good huh?
Having s-off and keeping the eng hboot that moonshine flashes will remove ALL write protection and read protection.
Then when and IF boost does give us the 4.2.2 update, I'll help with that also, if you decide to s-off....
So s-off makes your device completely free? And yea of course I was afraid of that but I'm already gone too far to complain about *sigh* ok lets start, and Simmons kernel wasn't enough to remove write protection apparently

Ok, go to
Www.rumrunner.us
And find the Windows zip named moonshine_k2_cl_2.06.653.5
Download it and unzip it to your desktop
Make sure all firewall and antivirus are disabled and HTC synch is not installed(meaning it doesn't exist on your pc)
Then with your phone booted into Android OS and connected via usb
Close all other Windows first
Then right click soju and run as administrator
Follow directions on screen prompt(when it ask yes? BE sure to type Yes with a capital 'Y')
Then sit back and let it do it's thing.
Post if any questions or complications arise.

Any time i use adb shell it starts as $ and i have to do
to get su privileges. (terminal too)

Ok so how do I know if I have HTC sync removed, do I have to remove the "HTC Driver Installer" or the IPTI installer"?
