Whoa today is very bad for technology, and I replaced the build.prop with yours and it bricked so I had to restore my backup :/, maybe the Simmons kernel disappearing on me could be the problem since build.prop can't cause data problems right?

Then I do not understand, my backup of the build.prop shouldnt have caused that since I used it before maybe tower issues or possibly the kernel issue

if you ever replace build.prop you have to make sure permissions are correct before reboot

Anytime you push a system file in its proper location you always have to set its permissions or you will have some big issues when you reboot lol. I found out the dumb way because I was being lazy and not thinking clearly.

That guy on xda in regards to his device....

His info within the EPST is wiped out. It doesn't even account for 1 profile. This is something you and I cannot fix. He is gonna need to contact Cricket and see if they can push something to his device to fix those settings and jump start his device or take it in to them. He is currently trying to remove the tampered flag but is telling me it is not working. I told him he needs to copy and paste the command precisely. Needless to say, I directed him to my tutorial and informed the guy he will need to follow my tutorial step for step precisely as I explain it. The command to lock the Bootloader worked fine for him however.

so i bought an htc on sv boost mobile as far as i can tell..its lcd and glass were shattered

so i bought a replacement lcd and glass...went through and replaced all that but still phone wont turn on

if i leave battery out and plug in usb or wall charger i get a light that appears orange and not the red charging light...if i then put in battery orange light will go out in a few seconds

no combo of buttons result in the phone turning on...all water marks are white as snow..phone still had stickers on it as if it never came out of the box

wondering is this like a warning light for hardware or something?


I'm thinking that since light comes on when i plug in with no battery and then put battery in it goes off maybe its a bad battery...

the screen was hit in three places..it looks like one of the blows put a tiny dent in the main ribbon cable...i can buy a replacement cable but i'd like to rule out the battery first...

i don't think that the cable is an issue...i looked over every square centimeter and it all looks perfect

edit: figured why not..ordered new battery and new main ribbon cable and i'm gonna let my wall charger charge battery till it says its full and go from there

i think i figured it out in theory... its in resources.apk... but the problem is i cant recompile resources.apk

i have even tried decompiling it, making no changes and then recompiling and it still wont build. has anyone had success recompiling com.htc.resources.apk?

Generally when this happens, it means the website url was picked up by one of the auto moderation tools. That likely means the website has a reputation for spam or malware.

It doesn't work. I even tried making modifications to it and still no success, but then again, I was still young and new back then when I made the attempt. haven't bothered with it since then - which was a long time ago.
