The LGMS550 is the metroPCS Stylo 2 Plus. Snapdragon 430 with 2gb of ram. And I haven't seen a mention of anyone working on this device anywhere. The device being discussed here is the Stylo 2 if I'm not mistaken. It's a completely different device with different hardware.

V5 is all the same as V4 i think out was probably software update and for security update boot and recovery remain the same that i noticed.

Yes because when android adopts storage it encrypts it and if you factory reset it will not read the encrypted afopted storage and will be corrupted. The only way to gain it back is to reformate your card with everything on there and make it adoptable again. Sorry no way around that.

Anybody on this thread with an LG Stylo 2 who HAS not requested root research through Kingroot? If so, I would advise them to bump the research request--that sounds like one of our best hopes.

I noticed that in the supported phones thread that the K520 is supported. I looked at the specs of the K540 and they are exactly the same. I'm wondering if the K540 version could be rooted with Kingroot...

download kingroot to your phone and it will say something of no phone root.

I have the Metro PCS Stylo 2 and KingRoot does NOT work. I have enabled oem unlock and unlocked the bootloader with fast boot, also usb debugging. KingRoot just tells me no methods available then shows me a number of people who have requested root and says the number isn't enough lol. Eventually it will happen.

I might look into building a twrp but redoing my machine now so don't know if I will get around to it.

Hi. I have a question. How do you manage to boot into bootloader mode? Because every time I do adb reboot bootloader, all it does is boot the phone normally.. Help appreciated.
