You know LG started locking their bootloader on the Optimus V/M/S/U??? That's why you can't purposely get into fastboot on ZV5/9 but you can on ZV4....this bootloader is insanely locked up though on the Motion.

Some new phones coming out is the LG Cayenne which I heard is just like the motion but a bigger screen and it's for Sprint. There's one coming out for Verizon as well that I think will also be locked up, but I can't remember the name....
But it's not similar to the Motion.

It's more of a push then anything binding. It is to let them know that there are people who care about the cause.

As far as I know, once it reaches the goal it'll send the petition. What they do with it after that is up to them.
