Root Help unrooting!!

i need help unrooting my evo.
I already flashed the s-on tool.
My phone says s-on.
When i tried flashing the PC36IMG it says "installation aborted(bad)"
My hboot version is 2.10
I have cyanogenmod 7. Clockwork recovery 3.0.0.5
Please help?!

Did you make sure to download the one for your hboot? Did you make sure to name it PC36IMG exactly? If you added .zip at the end it will end up being .zip.zip and will not work. You are letting it find the PC36IMG file in bootloader and not trying to flash like a rom correct?

i downloaded the hboot 2.10 from the rooting for dummies guide.
its named as: PC36IMG_SuperSonic_S_Sprint_WWE_3.70.651.1_Radio_2.15.00.11.19_NV_1.90_release_161482_signed
Well i went into recovery and tried installing zip from sd card.

@binder: I tried that but when i tried installing htc sync it gave me an error code and wouldnt open. I didnt want to have to wait another 2hours for the program to download again. So i gave up on that method.

that isn't something you would flash from recovery...are you trying to flash it from recovery or bootloader?

Well i went into recovery and tried installing zip from sd card.

You have the right file. Rename it and take everything off except the PC36IMG. Put it on the root of your sdcard(top level not in a folder) then power off the phone. Hold volume down+power. When it reboots to the bootloader it will scan for the file. tell it to flash. You should be all set after that.

You can't flash img files. Ok so that .zip needs to be named PC36IMG with no ".zip" as windows hides extensions. Power off and then press and hold the vol down. This will get you to hboot and it should automatically scan for the file and fi.ish the process for you

Thanks Guys! Finally figured out the problem after so many hours of searching -__- All i needed to do is rename it and go into hboot! Problem fixed!
