Root HELP! Weird Radio Problem

It could be the SD, I would suggest using the spare, put the zip on it, go ahead and put a flashable recovery on the other if you don't have a card reader that isn't the phone
I actually do have a card reader, i found one laying around, so that isn't a problem anymore

Ahh then you are good, I think you should try the 16GB card and seeing if you can read the MD5 off that

Ok, transfered file over and the md5 checked out perfectly! Idk what to do ahhhhhh..i dont want to brick my phone ha

Shoot man if it gives you the MD5 on the 16GB card then use it to unroot you shouldn't have any issues

It will be a long flash, go smoke a cig or drink a beer, if you don't do either it is never too late to start :D then come back if it is still flashing then think of another bad habit to begin

Check for updates or just wait, it may not come thru right away. Glad everything went okay
Dude you have no idea how happy I am right now..you made my whole week and im not even kidding! I am so relieved and could NOT have done this without the forum, and mainly you! Once again, thanks for everything!!!! :D You're tha man

Hey guys,

Just thought I'd pop-in and give a big thanks to Yeahha who kindly gave me a heads-up about this thread and its questions about my AFV app.

I had a 440MB TBolt file on my laptop that I transferred over to my Droid X to verify that AFV would properly calculate the MD5 checksum for such a large file (I know I've done it before, but want to double-check).

Anyway, just my luck, my SD card started giving me issues (total phone freeze-up, SD card unmounted, etc.)...ugh! Its a pretty new 16GB class 10 card for my Droid X and I ended-up having to do a couple of battery pulls and reformat it before I finally copied it back over and made sure that AFV would properly calculates its MD5 checksum.

So, just wanted to let the OP know that he's not the only one with SD card issues, LOL.

Anyway, good job and kudos to all involved!

Cheers!

thanks for checkin that out mister scary. yeahha and i are both big fans of AFV and reccomend it often. i knew we kept him around for somethin :D

I just wanted to check all bases, I hate that I messed up scary's SD tho :(

LOL, not your fault...I think there's been a few signs recently (slight delays in pulling-up Astro File Manager, etc...).

I reformatted it and am in the process of copying my files back at the moment...I don't think I've really added anything too new in the last couple of weeks anyway. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, eh? :) ;)

I almost wish the Droid X forums were as "exciting" as your guys' TBolt forums...you guys get all the fun here :). Locked bootloaders will do that to you :p (wait 'til I get my Galaxy Nexus :D).

Cheers!

I know that feeling, I had a D2G and the root forums were dead for the D2. Heck even the general section was dead, I spent most my time in the applications and android lounge. Got my bolt and it was like a whole new breath of life to these forums for me :D

I am looking at the nexus too got an upgrade burning a hole in my pocket.

Just so you guys know, I am now running gingerbread unrooted and it is running great at the moment! My 4g had been perfect the last few hours..I'm still unsure as to why my LTE broadband messed up in the first place while I was rooted..oh well, weirdest thing ever...it could still mess up again tomorrow though ha but this time, instead of looking on this thread for help, I'll be in a verizon store getting a replacement ;)

thanks everyone again for all your help! :)
