Thanks for stopping by! I recently installed Warm Z twopointtwo RLS1 ROM released 2-23-2011. Everything seems to be perfect but SWYPE, Gallery, and People/Contacts are not working properly and are force closing. I thought flashing the Rom again would solve it but it has given me the same problems. What can I do to fix these problems? I am using Clockwork Recovery 2.0.5.7. Your time and help is appreciated, thanks!

Basic suggestions when weird things happen...wipe cache and dalvik...wipe app data in titanium and or manage applications...fix permissions in rom manager...reflash rom (tried)...did you try the others?

Yeah I was avoiding the drastic just yet
I hate having to start from scratch. Had to start over with MIUI like 4 times because i also hate making nandroids, then i dl'ed the rom and kept flashing over top....shhh dont tell the noobs I dont take my own advice

I super effed up my shit the other day, not even sure what i did but she was effed, no turn on, no hboot, no recovery, no battery charge, just a brick...thats what happens when you test stuff out on your own phone lol no worries i got it back up and running...

If my memory serves me Swype is pre-installed by Myn on Warm Z. So if you are trying to install the Swype installer along with a copy of Swype you WILL get force closes. I had the same issue. I don't like the Swype version that comes with Warm Z because it doesn't have discernable outlines for the inividual keys. If you have Root Explorer you can go into system>app>Swype delete and then do the same thing under system >lib>swype.cor?? something like that. You are getting conflicts between the app you are trying to install with the app that is permanently installed in the ROM. If you go to xda I believe there is an explanation in the Warm Z area. Sorry I couldn't be anymore help but I gave up installing Swype while using Warm Z because of all of the"Issues" whenever I tried to install my beta version of Swype everytime I flashed a stinking nightly!
Not for sure about your other app force closes but like everyone else stated you could use TB pro to back up everything and then just do a batch restore of missing apps only (no data) after a clean wipe (caulkin's format all zip), factory reset, wipe dalvik and cache.

libswypecore.so is the lib file btw
pull the lib file and apk out of a rom that you like it in and put it on your sd card then whenever you change roms you just replace their swype.apk and lib file with yours in /system/app and /system/lib and reboot...oh have to set permissions when you place an app and lib file in /system to rw-r-r before the reboot
