Hero stuck on boot

Hey soo I rooted my phone and was running Red Dawn on my Htc Hero and it crashed or something and then my phone couldn't get past the HTC screen. So I put it in recovery mode and flashed a new rom. Unfortunatly it didn't work and I tried to flash the Tegro and it keeps and being stuck on the HTC boot screen.

Did wipe everything? Wipe data, cache and Dalvik cache, then reflash the rom

Yes I wiped everything. To flash a rom all I need to do is wipe to factory reset and then install the zip on my sd card right

Tegro I don't know what a recovery is :)

Not sure what Tegro is, do you have Sprint CDMA Hero?

Recovery is a recovery image. This is where you can wipe data, cache and other things. This is also where you will flash your roms. Did you download rom manager and flash a recovery image?

We'll watch for the reply. If he's got a GSM phone, we'll help get him to the right section - if he's trying to use that rom on the wrong phone then maybe that's the problem.

This is definitely a CDMA ROM, so my guess is that the OP then flashed a GSM ROM to his CDMA device. The $64k question now is, is it recoverable?

I saw this also, Red Dawn, then he said he tried Tegro, that one threw me off, until I googled it.

 Oh great you have to be kidding me I voided the warrenty by rooting it. Great is there any way that I can unroot this and leave no trace of the root and send it in :(
