Help hero vs moment?

I think there is truth in that, it's just some people make choices based on form factor as well as actual phone capabilities. The hero is the equivalent of the prettier sister or of a pair twins. She presents herself slightly better than the other, although underneath, she's just a slight bit less. The Moment is the other sister who's a bit bigger, but she's not quite up to snuff in the beauty department. But with some time and patience, she can be just as good as the other sister.

That's my metaphor for the choice, until we get a more up to date Android device on Sprint. Lol.

My metaphor of choice would be...
The Hero hit puberty early and was allowed to date at age 1.5. She was envied because she had a youthful beauty that matched her inside very well. Miss Hero got all the attention and was ridden hard (to the max) right from the start by Sense UI.
Later on, when the chubbier sister (Moment) was allowed to date at 1.5, she was completely under-utilized and made fun of. The underutilization made it look like she was on par with Hero on the inside, but nastier on the outside.
At this time, most people chose to lust after Hero because of her youthful beauty... not expecting the impending ugly duckling scenario.
Fast forward to adulthood.
At age 2.1, Hero noticed that she had obviously hit her peak at 1.5 and spent her best years with sense UI. She had been ridden hard and was now sub-par since she had never grown on the inside beyond where she was at age 1.5. No longer was she the bell of the ball, her best years were behind her...
Now, Ms. Moment came into the lime light, fully utilized and beautifully integrated. This is her time to shine. Her voluptuous shell matched with the beauty on the inside made her the envy of everyone. She is perfectly suited for age 2.1 and is making the most of it! Of course, this will all be forgotten when Hero's cousin, the supersonic, comes into the picture.:p

Edit: This is also assuming that Uncle Samsung doesn't abuse the Moment and leave her ruined at age 2.1 thus dirtying her reputation forever... this is something that I believe is a distinct possibility.

I have both devices. The Moment has potential that I hope 2.1 will bring out but at this point the Hero is a great device that was better crafted and both of them smoke my Blackberry Storm2 that has no future potential. I get to play with them all as a cellular coordinator for a worldwide company. Lucky me.

iHome works REALLY good, its fast, doesnt lag at all, and just very very good. However, there are three MAJOR MAJOR MAJOR drawbacks, that keep me from using it currently. It force closes quite often. Annoying. Also, sometimes when it fc's it automatically reverts to default, meaning any widgets, icon order, etc i added are GONE.... Happened to me twice, and I uninstalled. Also, it uses an "auto-arrange" and you can't place icons where you want them, unless the screen is full. Also, another couple of minor bug's are that adding screens is annoying. You can only add to the right side. Also, you can't choose which screen is default. I went back to dxtop until its fixed.

The thing is HTC Sene is the issh. IDK if anyone has had a Moto Droid or nexus one but after playing with it for a bout 2 weeks you get the urge for something different and you start customizing and the main thing i see ppl use is htc sense widgets. Well the hero comes stock with this and htc sense is more than a few widgets. So when 2.1 comes out it is gonna speed up the hero and add what you see on the nexus one to the hero which makes it the best phone out software wise. Plus in the end software is what keeps you happy not a 800mhz processor. Trust me I got both hero and moment.

This sounds all to familiar to the Tmobile HTC versus Samsung lineup. Instead swap out the Mytouch for the Hero and the Behold II for the Moment. While the Behold II has the impressive hardware and gorgeous screen, it's the funtionality of the Mytouch that wins out at present time but so many people are expecting the Behold II to play it's master trump card when 2.1 is released as it will function more efficiently with the added on board RAM.

I have both phones ... love both phones ... but I tend to use the Mytouch more in practical settings and the Behold II for more picture friendly outings LOL.

Not a big Samsung fan here. I did stop and consider it for a moment, the 800mhz processor wasn't enough to sway me.

It's running basic Android so you only get 3 home screens.

I'm sticking with my plans to pick up the Hero Friday morning. The HTC Sense UI makes up for the smaller processor. Just my opinion.

Even if I had a flip phone I wouldn't buy anything from Sprint until I could get this or the Nexus One. This is basically the answer to any Hero vs. Moment questions.

Sprint - HTC EVO? 4G

Does anyone know if you can get the Sense UI on the Moment yet?

As of right now, there is not a port for Sense to the Moment. It's been discussed but all the work it would take would most likely be a waste of time seeing as 2.1 should be out soon.
