Root Hi Y'all

Hey guys. Been a long time since I had an issue, so I haven't been stopping by. But I got a real puzzle of one here now that I need a hand with.

So, some (not all) of my apps refuse to update. I get one of two errors, either 'There is insufficient space on the device' or 'Package file is invalid'.

Now, I am running DT. There is PLENTY of space on my phone ROM and the partition. Verified it with ES Explorer and Ti Backup. Also, I keep updating other apps without incident. It is the same apps that are being problem children.

Offenders:
Angry Birds Space
Google Maps
Instagram
Facebook
Kindle

Tried A2SD Reinstall, then d/l. No Dice.

I tried wiping caches, then d/l update. No Dice.

I tried wiping caches in the apps menu, then wiping data for the apps, then wiping phone caches, then d/l. No dice.

Running Mik3.11, Anthrax Kernel. Ideas?

Back those apps data using TB then in manage applications, clear data, force stop then uninstall. Do that for all of those apps. Then go to the market in manage applications and clear data. Reboot the phone, sign back in to google play and redownload the apps. Use TB to restore data. See if that works

If andy's above suggestion does not work you can try doing a

a2sd repair

and see if that works.

If all else fails, you can try "a2sd cachesd" (no quotes) in Terminal. MikG has Dalvik Cache on the /cache partition by default, and if you already have a lot of apps installed, that will be too full to allow additional Play Store downloads.

EDIT: Also, you can try clearing cache & data for the Play Store (after doing the above). That should get you taken care of.

Honestly though, that's how I've learned everything I know . Not only is this place great for correcting problems but its an amazing android learning tool.

This is the first forum I came to when I first rooted and yes very helpful indeed....learned and learning alot still

HA! Yeah, I guess you've got me there.

Seriously though...I'm also one of those crazy people that rides a loud, rumbling two-wheeled beast every chance I get. There's a forum for my bike I'm a member of. Any post has about a 30% chance of being answered. Here, it's close to absolute certain. And the answers tend to be useful.

Guess I'm saying if you're fortunate enough to find yourself on here, be thankful!
