Root Hide Superuser Permissions icon?

I forgot to unroot before hitting the OTA. Although I lost root in the process, I still have the SuperUser Permissions icon in my app tray. Is there a way to hide the icon without having to root and remove it manually?

Why not just re root?

I was rooted by with the 2.1 with Easy Root but lost root with the OTA update yesterday. Not going to root again for a while. How do I get rid of the SU icon? New to all this so speak in English--please. Thanks

Just read above, use LauncherPro for your home screen launcher.

In settings -> general -> hide apps -> check superuser then it is no longer in your app drawer.

As far as I know you can not hide anything in the stock launcher, plus LauncherPro is FAR BETTER anyways
