Highly Doubting 24th Release date

You can always get a refund, but they never gave an official date. You have 30 days for a refund.


Edit: since the $50 was put on as a gift card, I actually don't know if you can get a refund, normally all gift card sales are final.

I don't remember. Was it advertised as being a gift card purchase or did people walk in expecting to put $50 down as a deposit and end up leaving with a gift card? I'm in the same boat, no free buyback and I'm looking to cancel my preorder and go with Verizon.
 
yeah thats pretty stupid honestly if they force me to pay $50 and give me a giftcard so no matter what they make $50 off me... depending on how this goes i might not shop at bb unless i have to again. ($50 forced giftcard/if they don't give me the free buyback program)
 
i'm pretty sure more than just me is a little upset with all of this. i'm not saying its all their fault or anything, i like bb, it's just if i get gay'd thats not right

Yeah usually I would say he has good information, but considering it was what yesterday that he said he was confirming that the phone is coming out the 24th, because they got an email.

Now it isnt, I will not believe any other than Verizon at this point. Now we just have to wait.
 
I have a friend who works for verizon and he said the set date as of now is 28th. He said some dates change but as of now its the 28th

Supposedly the email that confirmed the release as the 24th was at 6:15 last night. The one that moved it back was at 9:35 am. So in 12 hours something went so horribly wrong that they stopped a last minute launch? Please...

Also, I have been seeing TONS of commercials today. If that's the case, why are they still shoving the commercials down my throat 2 at a time? lol

Same here. It's like this phone is haunting me. I think I am going to have to avoid watching TV tonight since last night I am pretty sure I saw an ad every other commercial break and then some!
 
If the release date is indeed in March that constant advertising has to be costing Verizon a fortune. It just doesn't make sense that they would advertise it weeks in advance this heavily.

Just seems odd to me that if they really are in fact pushing it back to mid March, what's with all the commercials. Someone has their head a little to far down south if you ask me. lol And these commercials today are coming AFTER the supposed 9ish am email. And I saw one on Fox just now, like literally just now.

That's what I just said above, I totally agree.
 
I am not even gonna worry about anything until the dual-cores are released with all the bugs and quirks fixed and has some decent app support, until then, I am gonna stick with my X. No need for much more when you have a phone that can already do just about anything :D

Unless they were trying to dangle a carrot to keep people from signing up with AT&T for their 4G phone.....

Verizon runs the adds to make people think it will drop very soon, so they don't get the Atrix. By the time we figure out that it isn't coming out in the next week or two, they announce that it will only be another one or two more weeks, and we decide to wait just that little bit more. Verizon just got a month long lifeline to prevent loosing customers to AT&T for the next 2 years by running all those ads despite not having the stupid phone.

These days, I'm thankful my kids are watching cartoons on demand so I don't have to worry about commercials. :D
 
There is no "STOP THE PRESSES" when it comes to commercials that were bought and paid for a long time ago. The worst thing it does is get more people talking. The 0.00001% of customers that are frustrated on these forums (including myself) won't make or break a device's success.

True, however Motorola just anounced via their Twitter that the Xoom will have an unlockable boot loader, if they follow suit and ship the Bionic with the same then the TB could be in trouble if it doesn't launch soon... :)
 
If the Bionic's Boot loader can be unlocked...HTC will loose a Ton of Real Deal Android People who will opt for the Dual Core Phone.

On a release note....This is a Giant Ball dropped IMHO by both HTC and VZW! This thing should have been out for weeks already.
 
if the bionic has an unlocked boot loader and this device doesn't come in February it looks like i will be trying the new motoblur after all.

think about this, if this phone would have released in 2010 as originally planned we could have gotten it on a one year deal, upgraded in ten months skipped dual core phones and gone to perhaps quad core. or at the very least gotten a dual core when android was programmed for them. with the release dates being so close now, its a different ball game.

heck, its questionable if this will even be the first 4g device at this point.
