Best buy and some vzw locations are taking preorders for the tbolt. Doesnt mean we know when it is coming out.

They took preorders for it! So how did nobody know what day it was being released? I got the phone on launch day and knew about a week ahead when it was going to be released so idk what you are talking about
Some of the people in online and telesales knew about it, but a lot didn't. And none of the stores did (at least in my area). I know this because there were issues about cards being charged but no shipping info going out and some people receiving theirs 2 days after preorders started. So I was calling to find out what was going on with mine, and quite a few had no idesa what I was talking about.
When I finally got mine, I was taking a trip to the town were the nearest VZW corporate store is, I called and when I asked about cases, they said they had them in but no phones yet. When I told them I had the phone they were shocked & thought I was lying. No tv ads aired until a week after release, the only tv spot at all prior to release was a review of it on G4's Attack of the Show 2 days prior to release.

I did see a commercial for the TB tonight.. First commercial I've seen for it. Pretty sweet commercial btw..
Anyway, called VZW last week, asked about plans, said I was new customer, and was told sometime by the end of the month...
Called again today to see about putting a deposit down. Told them I was coming from Tmo. I thought maybe since she'd be getting a new contract from it, the girl I spoke with might be willing to give more info. I said I wanted the TB, and asked if the release date was still 'by the end of the month' and was told 'it should be here on the 24th'.

I am sure more knew about it than this phone though, Well before today anyways, I remember it being a big deal when it was officially announced and that they would start doing the pre-orders/pre-sales in a couple of days. Man the Incredible Forum was massive at that point and we had a couple hundred thread dedicated to it.
Long ones too. Wasn't the official thread around 1000 pages by the time it released?

I cant remember how long, but man it was something to see. If I am not mistaken the Mods let the unofficial pre-release thread be off topic as well. It was very nice of them.
Back on topic, well in about 5 minutes it will be Tuesday, so only 2 days left until our phone MIGHT come out.

Whoaa...Whoaa...Did I say anything about pre-orders? I said nobody knew the Launch date! Best Buy has been taking pre orders for 2 weeks on the TB..what does that mean Guy? It means nothing. And I was at my friends vzw corporate store last year on that Thurs to get the Incredible, and guess how many people were there with me? None, because just about the whole world didn't know about it, or them opening an hour early! Going back and fourth with a person like you, gets these threads nowhere. I was just making a point about vzw being very quite about past releases right up until the wire...nothing more nothing less...
However...your NEO, your the ONE! So you must know the Thunderbolts release before all of us, and even everyone at vzw! All because your hip to pre-orders! Anyway, enough waste on all this...who cares when or how the incredible dropped, you missed the point! TB will be here soon enough my fellow Forum friends..

Your On the money....it was like a Big terribly kept Secret! I remember having to go to Two PC Richards stores just to find the Black shinny silicon case because both stores by me only had the holster and some had no idea what an Incredible was! Like Wolfe said, the Threads were Huge and the build up was insane. Us as a community knew the phone existed, but mostly all outsiders had no clue until that commercial with it poping up from that box aired a week later. By that time the Amoled screen shortage issues were beginning to kick in...
Actually I think the first one was the one like the matrix but instead of dropping from above the words swirled around and they were red. It ended with the eye with the 2 dots bouncing aroud it. I know because I got it on my phone (1st video I converted).
I called 7 Verizon stores today and all said the 24th was a no go on the release. The same stores told yesterday the 24th was golden. They received a email stating the phone is not releasing on the 24th and the delay was unknown. I ask each rep i spoke with about 28th and they all said they did not think it would come out till March or even mid March.

Yes but it isn't confirmation... Not that I don't believe him, it's just that the only confirmation we can go by now is either VZW or HTC...

if the tweet is true (why does that sound more like an insult), and it'll likely be mid-march, then that just blows.
i'm Sprint--wanting to pay the ETF and jump to VZW for this phone. looks like i'll now be waiting until CTIW (or whatever) where Sprint's expected to announce the Evo2 and i'll probably like those specs more.
oh well, Verizon...could have had my money.
(not that my one account would matter--but i'm sure there's tons more in the same situation)

I know we all heard something or "have a guy". I wanted to share what I heard from a buddy that has some privileged info.
The Tbolt is def. pushed back until sometime in March. Last word he heard was that 1-2 weeks back from 2/28. The issue was that provisioning and billing of the service has not been worked out yet.
As nothing is confirmed I wanted to share what I heard. Soooo Im not getting my hopes up until 2nd week of March.
