Holiday Gingerbread anyone?

You're "irate" because you haven't received a software update for a cell phone that they are still rolling out and you've already waited months for it anyways?

Not to be rude, but it sounds like some priorities in your life need some readjusting.
 
got it last night right before I fell asleep. updated, passed out while waiting, woke up to a new phone! much less lag... this is how the phone should've been to begin with. My brother (same area code, got the phone on same day) is still waiting for his GB though. Hang in there fellas. Almost.
 
The wife's phone got the update about an hour ago. Looks GOOD so far. No issues with the install.

Me NOT so lucky. Still waiting.

I'm not sure what it has to do with priorities. You said it yourself... been waiting for months. Still waiting, not knowing how long of a wait to expect and watching all these other people report that they have it. As I said... does anyone know of an official answer on when this update is complete?
 
I share your frustration since Verizon representatives' official response is that it has not yet been released. Verizon support personnel are apparently the last people to know what their own company is doing.
 
Why do you think many of us turn to the Android Community for help. The Android Community is usually miles ahead of the Verizon Representatives.

I hate to say this but most Verizon Representatives (especially in the store) aren't exactly the sharpest knives in the drawer.

first post! (the post that hurts the most.)

updated with the leaked OTA gingerbread this morning, and I've already found my first bug. the phone freezes when trying to batch delete photos (selecting any more than 1 causes this problem for me). has anyone else experienced this? is there someplace gingerbreadedly official I ought to go in order to report bugs?
 
My update arrived, but since the phone lost 50% of it's battery over 9 hours last night I've got to wait for the battery charge sufficiently before it will let it install!

Couldn't agree w/ you more!!!! This phone is soooo much better now. Forget the Galaxy Nexus I'm in love w/ my Charge again.
 
Update done, took 20 min, including re-boot (excluding SD card scan) and so for so good. No big differences yet. Haven't even seen the stronger vibrations, and it's turned to max. The wrap around screens are nice, and the orange scroll end indicator isn't bad.
 
My phone runs soooooo much smoother now. Hardly any lag when switching between screens. Hitting the home key no longer takes along time to get to the actual screen. Connectivity has been GREATLY improved in my case. Before the update I was looking at switching phones and paying the cost because I couldn't deal with how slow it was. But now...those thoughts are gone.

And one thing I didnt expect, the change from the orange and brown in the pull down menu to the green/blue is TONS better.
