I have recently switched back to Sense from Launcher Pro, for now. I am curious as to the number of people using Sense, LP and ADW.

Feel free to comment on why you prefer X.

Sense was great, loved it. ADW, not so much, just didn't live up to what I thought it would. It was laggy for me. I am loving LauncherPro, have everything setup perfectly.

I agree when the senseless rom though, i'd prefer to have vanilla from sheer lack of resources needed to power it.

LP all the way. I feel like a kid on christmas whenever I see an update in the marketplace for it
Haha I feel the same way. I love LP and whenever there is an update in the market (I check religiously) something inside me lights up and I get giddy for a second. It just keeps getting better and better.

Launcher Pro here. It's not quite as jerky as Sense is, but I do miss some of the Sense-only widgets.

I use sense and have tried LP but I just dont understand it I guess maybe I should look up a tutorial or something on it.

Anyone tried Sweeter Home? I played with it a little and liked it a lot but it was buggy and I couldn't find an updated version of it for 2.1 :(

LP updates like crazy! Keeps getting better.

Love the fact that I can view in landscape, especially when in my car dock.

I do miss some of the sense goodies, but not enough to go back.

I've only used Sense so far, willing to test others but lazy :P How much memory do others run at normally? i noticed sense takes about 50-55mb whilst running, do others like LP and ADW take that much or way less?

Just got my phone yesterday and am still using Sense. Probably going to stick with it because I don't mind the interface and don't want to start installing these 3rd party launchers and potentially run into some trouble.

To be honest I guess it can be quite confusing if your just downloading LP for the first time now. I started using it back when there really wasnt much to customize. I actually didnt see the benefit of it over sense at first. But the update came quick and got me hooked. I think thats why it doesnt seem difficult to me. I got it piece by piece as updates rolled in where as new users are getting the whole package in its entirety at once. It probably is a bit overwhelming.

Just take one option at a time, figure out what it does, and adjust it to your likings

Sense is awesome! + you can use all the widgets which are pretty darn good. It runs beautifully! After a while though Sense became to generic for me. LP is the bomb!

I use LP... but SlideScreen is a nice change of pace every once and a while.

Do you lose all you sense settings and layout if you install LP, try it for a few days, then go back to sense?

LP just added an update that allows you to backup and save your settings and screens too. So its much easier to jump back and forth till you decide which you really like....

And HomeSwitcher is a must with multiple home screens, so nice, so convenient.

One of the main draws to the Incredible for me was Sense. I love the widgets and I haven't had any reason to switch to another launcher. I use ADW and Launcher Pro on my G1 but I much prefer Sense.
