Really? I keep wondering how a custom launcher can run smoothly since...well, umm... isn't it running on top of the original launcher (i.e., so now the phone is burning cpu cycles/memory having to run TWO launchers)?

I would really like to mess around and do some detail work on my homescreen, etc. (using Nova most likely), but I'm very much in love with the speed the Motion's intrinsic launcher has now. If I 'switched' to Nova, would I be disappointed in the overall 'snappiness' of it?

<apologies for obtuse -- though highly momentary -- thread hijack>
 
The default launcher is just an app, same as anything else.

When you run Nova, it runs instead of the other launcher. Just like running Boat Browser Mini instead of your default browser, for example. One doesn't run on top of the other.

Last problem you'll have with Nova is speed. Nova's quick. ;) :)

I honestly feel that Nova is snappier
 
Nova is the tits. Much faster, IMHO, than the regular home launcher.

Still messing around with the phone since I just got it. Still in the middle of porting all of my apps from my old phone. (and remembering that I actually bought some good apps in the past lol)

ME AND MY GIRL I GOT HER A MOTION 4G TOO WE BOTH GOT IT. THIS PHONES RAW AFTER U ROOT IT AND DEBLOAT PUT GOOGLE NOW AND OTHER FEATURES. I LIKE THE WAY THAT NOVA PRIME LAUNCHER LOOKS I MIGHT START WORKING WITH THAT AND SEEING WHAT I CAN COME UP WITH
