Root Horrific 3g speeds

if i remember myns rls 5 was having issues with slow page loading. the solution was to either install (if you have it) or uninstall then install (if you do not have it) adfree. open adfree and download and install hosts. after doing this my page downloads were back to normal. i dont know if this is will help you or not.

I've been pulling my hair out today, what little I have left. I just flashed Myns this morning, and I had this problem. Just did the adfree fix, everything seems to be loading fine.

this what i did thru trial and error
-Get your MSL(since you are rooted get msl reader from market)
-Dial ##3282#
-Edit Mode-type in MSL # press ok
-Go to Advanced and change "HTTP PD Proxy Port" to "0" & "HTTP PD Proxy Address" to 0.0.0.0
-go back and go to Evdo and change the Preferred Mode to "Automatic"
-then go back and go to Data Profile, hit menu to restore.......

yes..this and reprovisioning have both been linked/referenced in this thread and both appear to greatly improve 3g speeds (assuming there isn't an issue with sprint towers)
