Help Hot spot/tethering

I think, but can't guarantee, that calls always take priority. They certainly do with rooted wireless tether.

We'll have to see what others say about Easy Tether.

I'm too out of date on that. Once upon a time, you could put a Bluetooth modem script on an Apple laptop and do all sorts of things. (I used to tether off a RAZR! :p)

What you can find now for an iPad, someone else will have to say.

Moved your post here, locked the 3 month old thread you'd found - and would point out (not that it makes a difference) that the $10 fee is now applied to all smartphones, not just 4G.

By the way - some people would $30/month cheap for an ISP.

Welcome to the forums!

So is there an app out there that lets you use the 3vo as a hotspot that basicallly gets around the 30 a month or is that a brick wall? Id much rather connect wirelessly than usb.

Just an fyi, EasyTether is $4.99 on Amazon App Store. I put off buying it before, but couldn't pass up the cheaper price.

Guessing wifi tethering isn't available without root based off of all the crickets I'm hearing :(

I saw that yesterday and picked it up also......worked well. It actually seems faster in some aspects then my hotspot 4G LTE......and that's with a V1 Droid......lol

Sprint doesn't seem to have an issue with one-to -one tethering. Wonder if it would be acceptable if a dev were to cook up a wireless tether app that would allow you to only connect to one device since EasyTether and PDANet are not blocked. Devs out there, this could be lucrative if it could be done! :)

Does the Evo-3D support bluetooth DUN? I am trying to tether using bluetooth dun but i cannot because it doesn't show the necessary steps. Can someone please help me.

Hello all,

I was just curious if there is any way to share my 3d evo's internet connection with my ipod touch without having to pay for a wifi hotspot plan? I really am not interested in rooting my phone, either! I don't want to void my warranty.

I am just trying to use and share the data plan that I already have and what I already pay for...on my ipod!

Anyone done this or have an idea on this subject?

Thankx

You could try this

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wifi.hotspot

Mixed reviews but doesn't hurt to try it.
