thanks for the help. I have a root incredible and want to root my droid x as well but I have had nothing but issues with it. Installed liberty rom and couldnt connect to the network had no market, internet, just nothing. went to the stock gingerbread rom and went to west virginia today and lost all service not even 1x and when I did get a 1x sign still couldnt get anything to go through. I went in an checked automatic and also allowed roaming too. I just want to go back to stock. I have probably switched roms 50 times on the incredible but I like the big screen of the X thats why Im still with it.

getting to stock gb is easy as long as you sbf back to froyo, but if you want stock gb we can sbf back to the actual .596 sbf file right?

the droidx is so simple in reality, although developing for it is another story, apps are different roms are the story here. and its why myself and bouchigo will obviously switch phones, and we are both looking at the same phones, (we know whats good and whats not)
regardless though i think froyo had the best determination of roms, i really in all honesty do not see that much of a different between GB look and feel than froyo other than the speed and profile function. but there may be more that im not thinking about right now.

I will say for a phone that is so locked down and for awhile it was feared may never get custom ROMs because the phone would become a paperweight if you tried...it is an EXCEPTIONALLY EASY phone to flash and actually its damn near impossible to really brick the thing...
