Help How is everyone Tethering now that we have root?

I just have to laugh that this thread is still active. What does root have to do with tether. It's default functionality. Silly Americans. Mwahaha

Except for everyone outside US carriers you just configure it in settings and be done with it. No apps needed.

I found it !

I got flawless wifi tether running with TrevE's modded wifitether.

I used the WifiTether-TrevE_Mod_11_22_2012_driverReload2
My settings:
Device Profile: Generic ICS/JB (wlan0)
Setup Method: Netd-NDC (master)
Send Netd Max Client Cmd - Checked
Wifi-driver reload 2 - Checked
Routing fix - Checked

Been running for 25 minutes no problems on LTE.

This works great.

I CANNOT verify because I haven't rooted yet (im going crazy too lol) but I read in another forum this version of wifi tether works (on a rooted phone). Just an FYI and maybe someone here can confirm:

I do really feel sorry for all the US people that need to root to tether, have to pay huge amounts for home broadband that has very low speeds, have a mains system that is highly inefficient, among other things.
On the up side you get your other products much cheaper than here in the UK. I've seen posts with Best Buy doing the Note 2 at $250 It's still

I haven't found anything that works as well as the foxfi free app

if you don't want to root and wifi tether you should look for a app called Portable Wi-Fi hotspot in the market. It works great. And the best part it's free.

I started having major problems with this app after a verizon ota carrier update my data would flicker on and off rendering it unusable. went back to foxfi and no problems
