Root how long for gingerbread rom?

I realize the official HTC release is lord knows how far off, but I'm wondering how long it will be before an intrepid modder releases a vanilla gingerbread for dinc?

might be a good idea to wait until gingerbread is actually released
devs can't really gauge how long until they have it in hand. optimally, 15 seconds after its released

Well Rumors are that the Nexus One will recieve it on the 11th which is this Thursday . So if that's true my guess just gauging off the FroYo ROMS would be a few weeks . But remember the first few FroYo Roms were extrmely buggy
I might have a new phone before Gingerbread is on the Incredible lol

I have been saying early February for a daily usable release. Anything before that is just icing on the gingerbread.

But the really cool one was the remote Media Library Access that looks really cool

I know there are non functioning ROM's out there, but apparently Gingerbread source code is being released today

personally, I would love a stock Gingerbread ROM, just like is shipping on the Nexus S

There is a rom out now [Nexus S Port}Incredible Gingerbread[Android 2.3]{SGRH v1 12-16 @ 2:54 AM CST} - xda-developers

It is not yet stable so I don't think it would wise to use it for an everyday rom. It is in ROM manager as well I believe

I was just about to reply with this link but you already have it hear. yeah they are working on the gingerbread port now.
