-2 months...I've been eligible for an upgrade for 2 months now and have been holding off until something worthy of replacing my X comes along.

0 months, been eligible since July and do not intend on getting the Bionic. I'm waiting for the HTC 'Vigor' or Nexus 'Prime'. SG2 was on my list, but so far there's been no confirmation (or even a leak) that it's coming to VZW.

This. Same here. Been ready for over a month. The Bionic just does not impress me anymore. Motorola is a big phail on this one. Day late and a dollar short.

Will wait for the Nexus Prime most likely. Or for Motorola to make the next Nexus. But who knows. Im tired of my X so anything can happen. :p

I've got a little over 7 months left (March 2012). Hopefully some really nice phones will be out by then :D

Been out of Contract for 3 months now. Was going to be either the SGS 2 or Bionic. The Bionic has lost it's appeal to me and as for the SGS 2, it reminds me to much of an Ipaperweight. So I will wait for the Nexus Prime. A Google phone on Verizon would be Epic.

Bought my X off of Craigslist, so my OG Droid contract will be up this Thanksgiving. I may upgrade for Christmas, depending on what's out. So far though, I'm not impressed.

I'm already out of contract. Obviously, nothing has peaked my interest to switch.

Curious why people are getting down on the Bionic. Phone's not even released with confirmed specs and already people are dismissing it? 4G LTE and dual core, in a form factor similar to our X. What's not to like?

And as much as the SGSII looks to be decent, remember it's still from Samsung which means horrible support and buggy operation. Plus the fact that it hasn't been confirmed for VZW.

Nexus prime may be interesting. But the verdict is still out since who know's what it will really have.

I can't speak for others, but I find the 512mb of RAM to be downright paltry on a phone that hyped

I have about a year left, and not really looking right now, very happy with my DX, and I'm in no hurry to replace it. And not interested in quad core, or even dual core, unless the battery can easily make through a full day.

If your referring to the Bionic it doesn't have 512mb of ram. It comes with 1GB DDR2 ram.

Everything I've seen and heard for the Bionic was indicative of half a gig; maybe they upgraded it. Regardless, I hope your right.

0 months...been out of contract. I didn't vote because no correct choice for me. I am out of contract but will not be upgrading until there is a super great dual or quad core 4G phone. And I haven't seen either yet :)

I've been upgrade eligible since May 16th. Gonna miss the days when you could pay a little extra for a 1 year contract.
In the past month I've gotten 2 calls from Verizon retention specialists wanting me to buy a new phone. When I said I was waiting on the Bionic they offered a free month to extend my contract without a new phone. No thanks.
I'll look at the Bionic, but probably wait a few months and find a used one on Craigslist. Either that or wait on the quad cores. The DX is still a great phone. I'm in no hurry to get rid of it.

My contract isn't up until August of next year. That doesn't matter though since I won't be doing any more contracts. I bought my X retail and will continue to pay retail.

I'm under the impression that Verizon will price gouge us enough to where I will eventually make a switch to a new carrier.

I am also up for an upgrade, but there is nothing out there now that makes me want to jump. I will keep my eye on the Bionic, but since for some reason KC is no where on the Verizon LTE map I am not ready to make the jump. I have an extra battery, car dock, media dock and all of that. My phone is still great and does not leaving me wanting for any more right now. Once we get LTE it may be harder to not want to make the jump, but until then I am more than happy to wait for the next big thing to drop first.

Contract Bah Humbug. I'm buying my next phone outright. I'm waiting for something really worth the expense though. Nexus Prime is squarely in my sights ATM.

I thought about the prime as well, but knowing Samsung's track record with updates and gps problems, and also reading that the Samsung execs had a big meeting regarding the Google/Motorola deal, I think I'll stay away.

It has not been confirmed that the Nexus Prime is being made by Samsung. Heck, it isn't even confirmed that the Nexus Prime is nothing more than a unicorn.

How are people out of their contracts already when the phone has only been out for a year? Are there 1 year contracts available?

Got mine opening day, so I still have a year, but don't think I'll be upgrading it. I use my phone too much for data to drop down to a tiered plan. I used 11G last month and the tiered program will be too expensive for me to justify. I just hope my X lasts a LOOOOONG time! If it wasn't for the unlimited data plan I'm on right now, I'd jump as soon as my contract expires to the latest and greatest available.

Same here. I'm hoping for something that is buy-one-get-one-free (one for me and one for my wife), but those are usually less than top-of-the-line and I'm not sure I could handle that. :D
