ahhh the pic was a good idea,the prollem is now obvious. :smokingsomb:
you have apparently downloaded 2 unlock_code.bin files,at some point in time,as evidenced by the (1) in your file "Unlock_code(1).bin"
change the name in miniadb_inc to just "Unlock_code.bin" and it should flash fine. you were getting error: cannot load 'Unlock_code.bin becasue the file with that name wasnt there

scotty, just checked the phone and now I'm not exactly sure what I've got for recovery. When I go to recovery from HBOOT I get dark screen, pic of phone lying on its back, and the two circling arrows, for about 2 seconds...then the red triangle + exclamation icon. Is this stock recovery? I did have ClockworkMod on it at one time, but did that get zapped when I flashed stock GB?
Aside from that, phone shows software number 4.08.605.2, which is confusing (to me) since that implies that I should already have the new HBOOT and radio? (My radio version is 2.15.10.10.07.)

yup... what youre seeing is the stock recovery. when you ran the ruu,it overwrote clockwork with the stock recovery image,just as it did the hboot.
the 1.02 hboot did not appear in RUUs until a later version (.92 comes in one you flashed). im not certain exactly what build contained 1.02. 1.07 is new for 4.08.605.15.
if you OTA,the phone should replace the bootloader with the newer version.

Don't feel stupid,that's definitely an easy thing to overlook,especially if you're not used to doing this sort of thing. I've made my share of mistakes,for sure.

1-get rid of the verizon bloatware
2-stop that annoying sw update message from popping up as i do not want to load the new sw due to issues i have read about.
3- be able to tether or wireless tether to use my phone for internet for another device.
those are really my main goals some maybe i just have to get to s off??
or do i need to go further to get this done?

i would strongly reccomend it. s-off is better in many ways and will make your life much easier.

Hello guys,
i am having a problem with my inc i just got.. it was rooted when i got it but came with no sdcard an it is stuck in clockworkmod recovery and hboot.. the first screen says incrediblec xd ship s-off, hboot-0.92.0000, microp-0417, touch panel-atmel224_10aa, radio-2.15.00.07.28, jul 23 2010, 18:06:51. and when it goes to the clockworkmod recovery its ClockworkMod Recovery v5.0.2.0 with a tophat in the background. and i cant get any further than this nomatter what i select or do. i have a 16gb sd chip of mine for it. but dont know what to do from here?!?!? can anyone please help me...

what happens when you power the phone on normally?
you can try wiping data/factory reset in clockwork,and see if the phone boots then. if not,you can try flashing a rom. if that fails,you can run one of the GB ruus.
Shipped ROMs is a utility run on your pc. start it with the phone in fastboot mode
Shipped ROMs is a .zip file that you rename to PB31IMG,place on your FAT32 formatted sd card,and flash in hboot.
since youre allready s-off,re-root will be easy(just install recovery as a PB31IMG file in hboot)
last and not least,make sure youre using the optic tracpad thingy to manipulate CW recovery. a very common error is to try and use the power buttion to select,wich will take you back a menu(or to the hat if youre on the main menu)

ok i started out early this morning but im now stuck on step 4.
i followed all instructions all the way to the end but when the last c=prompt command to fast reboot the phone reboots but gets hung up on the" droid eye" and then just keeps rebooting and rebooting?? i cant get the phone to do anything else? looks like my phone is now useless...

upadate:::: i pulled the battery while it was doing its boot loop and was able to get to hboot. i see that it says (in pink) ****locked (00W)*****

Im downloading the second link u posted, but the first one poped up with nothing and said Error in query. and how do i know if my sd card is Fat32 formatted? and how do i flash it? just by running it?

awsome! glad it worked out for you.
to get back to GB you can:
1)install a GB based rom(one is linked somewhere in the last couple pages)
2)restore your stock backup
3)run a full ruu.
you caN Remove bloat with titanium backup,my backup pro,or other apps available from the market. just make backups along the way in case you delete somethign you shouldnt.
titanium backup pro has the option to freeze apps prior to deleting them. handy for making sure the stuff you want to eliminate does not affect something else.

im confused on what i need to do? how do i get the roms i need, and how to put them on phone, and how would i flash it? just by installing from sdcard?
my phone is now asking for an ota update of 4.08.605.2 is this Gb? id rather not download it if it is verizon based.should i install it, or just ignore it and flash another stable rom? if you have a specific rom in mind for the average person that is stable please let me know.
also i would like to stop the ota updates. how do i go about doing this?

easiest thing to do is put the sd in a card reader and plug it in to the PC. right click,then click properties. if its plain FAT,or anythng other than FAT32,youll need to back it up and do a full format to FAT32.
then transfer the file(renamed in windows to PB31IMG) to the sd card,not inside any folders,and properly eject it from the PC. re insert it into the phone
hold vold down,then power,hold them both until you see hboot. wait for the green writing to flash,then it should find the file and ask you to update.
you just need to do the above,and get it back to a working phone. then you can do some research on your other questions, there is alot of info on the forum about flashing roms,etc. thats a little beyond the scope of this guide(wich is really just intended to help you achieve s-off)
somewhere in the last couple pages,sdraw posted a link on how to flash roms. ill see if i can find it.
once youre comfortable,you can reinstall a recovery,and either root,or install a rom using this guide
if youve got clockwork installed,you cannot install the OTA. your best bet is to restore a backup of 4.08.605.15,or install a rom based on it,or install a custom rom like cm7 or cm9. OTA nags will then be a thing of the past.
sdraw linked a stock rom somewhere in the last couple pages. beyond that,i honestly have no idea... its been long time since my inc has been my daily driver so im pretty out of touch with available roms.

i tried doing what u said to the t. formatted the sd to FAT32 then downloaded the rom u posted and renamed it PB31IMG an put it on the root. and when i held down the power and vol down key it booted up and started loading a blue bar on the side of the screen, once it finish it didnt promt me to do anything just had the normal selections again. i tried going into recovery and try installing it from there and it said E: cant open /sdcard/PB31IMG.zip (bad) so is there something im doing wrong?
ok, i think i have made up my mind on which rom to run. i have decided on cyanogen 7.2 and i have a couple of questions.
1-can i flash this on the downgraded rooted s-off froyo that i flashed from this thread, or do i need to get to gb first?
2- i have downloaded the cm7.2 and google apps, is there anything else i need to download before or after to make this a fully functioning phone?

wich file,specifically did you download? you got that error when trying to flash it in recovery,becasue recovery cannot flash it
you can flash it over froyo. i would prolly reccomend installing the newer radio and hboot,but you dont need to run the full gb ruu.
