Hey I did everything!!! :) Now my phone is stuck on the SAMSUNG logo and the blue light is flashing, I heard the samsung sound and stuff and it didn't boot up like cyanogenmod, I'm gonna let it sit for a while cause I heard that in the comments that's what happened to people when they downloaded it they had to wait for it to load...
 
Its not bricked and funkys advice wont brick...brick means phone wont turn on and boot your in bootlop do what funky said and or factory reset and calm down all is good and goodnight to all good luck funky

  1. Go to recovery mode. To do so, press and hold the Volume Up, Home and Power buttons together.
  2. Now perform Wipe data/Factory Reset and Wipe Cache Partition task before selecting reboot system now function. In recovery mode use Volume keys to navigate between options and Power key to select the option.
Please note, performing wiping task will erase your device internal memory data and not external SD card data.

Thanks for the link, I didn't need it though :P

So far everything works! Wi-fi and data work, idk about calls or messaging yet..

One thing that is different is in the name it says "SGH-i747M" now :P but it's 4.3 and it asked if I want to do OTA updates, so I assume I'll recieve them in the future.
 
Glad it worked out. Hopefully this thread will help others downstream too. Sounds like you are back to the appropriate stock setup for your model.

Yeah, some issues I noticed is the lock screen takes a while to open... and there's still that dumb 4.3 lag :P

And it said I already used 4 gb for my storage before I even downloaded anything... what?!??!

(One nice thing is it didn't get rid of my ram, it's the same that it was before :P)
 
One question (this time it's not a rediculous one...)

what is "window animation scale, transition animation scale, and animator duration scale?" I wanna know what each of them are and what they do.
 
I've been running kitkat roms for months so I don't care about the Samsung update lol I hate their firmware :D

You can safely mess around with the animation scales. If you want to understand what they do, try increasing them.
On touchwiz I kept them at .5.
On aosp I like the animations so I keep them at 1.
Lowering or turning them off makes the phone feel faster but less slick and pretty :thumbup:
