Root How to install CyanogenMod 7.2 - Huawei Fusion 2

Sorry for the wait, my upload speeds are comparable to Dial-up, haha,

CM7.2 unedited : https://mega.co.nz/#!HNcVTSLT!BA57zASA7HnexyFnCBkHJ1QLui4QjVVLlV0V9DwcTrk

Thanks for trying that, but "no cigar", as they used to say - no success with that either, sorry, but thanks again -- see "screenshot" -- note different time of file creation, and different file size

WELL I won't say I've bricked my phone -- still works, and was able to restore from nandroid to where it was before sfaik -- but I can't turn it off and plug it into without it rebooting into recovery

so I can't install the new CWM version, in case that's causing the ROM to not install and produce Status 0

well, I'm waiting for a response from Huawei to see if the "different" phone models (if they be different) are "compatible" then:

  • I have to get out of booting into recovery on "power on" -- when cable from computer is plugged into phone, then (assuming compatibilty)
  • re-installling ADB drivers, in case that's causing any non-communication during running of instalador.bat
  • install new CWM, if possible, in case the new ROM will "talk" only to that CWM
  • flash new ROM, presuming the above steps work OK
sounds like a suitable plan? any changes, additions, new software needed????

Huawei will tell you nothing about the phone's and their interchangeable compatibilities, or lack there of. (HINT: there are at least 5 phones with the same kernel as the Fusion 2, this makes these 5 phones/their ROMS compatible with not too much tweaking on the ports) Enjoy the knowledge.

In regards to CM10, will the 3G be permanently slower? Or does the 3G fix work completely now? Also, what does it mean that I can only have either my IMEI or my 3G fixed?
"This fix is too late for those who already flashed the ICS Baseband, but using the 3G fix will your 3G. It will break your IMEI though; the partial fix will too.
You can restore your IMEI by flashing the ICS baseband again; but you will lose 3G.

After I updated to this my fusion no longer gets signal with my t mobile card in it.

I used T-Mobile while on CyanogenMod 7.2 and had no issues.

Maybe you should try to reflash the ROM.

**Edit**
Were you on ICS Baseband before(used ICS or Jellybean ROMs)

Go into settings, scroll all the way to the bottom, in about phone, and in the Baseband menu, what does it say?

If it says Unknown, you need to flash the GB Baseband.

You can backup your 3G with my guide, before you flash the ICS baseband, and just restore it after you upgrade to CM10
